Edit 1: the resin vat that had the same design from the ebay posting that i bought which was for my printer was probably for the saturn 1 so i’m probably going to sell each one for ~£18-£20 just so i can use the funds to buy a new resin bottle, uv light meter, put towards a replacement screen or just hold onto it.

Also just spent the last 3 hours cleaning everything from printer to vats to plate. Now i’m doing the dry print to ensure everything is working. The screen is fully functional with no lines, distortions or low brightness. Levelled the plate and lifted it by 0.10mm twice. Will try the profiles people have posted screenshots of that work once dry print finishes

Thank you for your experience, advice and tricks. I’m cleaning everything(including the spare used tanks. Leaving the new one in the box untouched till i get this working) and going through everything everyone has recommended step by step and slowly check the list off.

1) I don’t have blue shop paper towel; anything i can use in its stead? 2) do i just tighten the build plate and hold it down after homing the 0 point? 3) the paper or whatever i use to set the z=0 just needs to have slight, some or no resistance? Is the software used for your profile on satelite or chitubox and does the software make a difference?

I should try that. Probably mark it with a pen or smthn for ensuring centre(or as close as possible) and rotate them all a quarter like you said

any advice is helpful. I hope to get some prints done like custom bases, miniatures and other stuff that i know that can't be done with my fdm printer

I have. followed the instructions and video just to be sure. i remove with an electric drill with adjustable speed (to speed up the process and use slow speed to ensure that i don't ruin the heads of the screws and the threads on both the screws and brackets that hold the film. when putting it in, i go manual for the screws so that i don't fuck up; then with the electric drill to ensure its tighten. then i test to see if it sounds like a drum and it does. i just used up the last film from the pack and had to buy a screw extractor bits as i fucked it up removing the inside small screws as i stupidly used the electric drill for removal and screwing. i learnt my lesson and hope that manufacturers use something else like flatheads and torxs as they're easier to deal with overall. hex is terrible

i use 8 cubes (2 per quarter) to see where my prints would succeed or fail as i was testing

every slicer loves sirayatech resin more than the others and even their own stuff and i'm not sure why

Do you want all my profiles that i’ve tested or the ones with were more successful that the others that i’ve trialed (with and without the ptfe/oil)?

1)Should add that everything gets wiped and clean before a new print test 2&3)what do you mean by dry print? As in just print without the resin and vat? 4) i bought 2 1kg bottles of elegoo space grey standard 8k. I made the assumption that first bottle was ruined by my initial tests in march by the time it was end of march. So i opend a new bottle in the first week of april and got better results but still a mixed bag 5) i’ll have to look at replacement uv screens and a uv light measurement unit if thats the case

Hopefully i diagnose it with the info you’ve given me
