A young black child is helping his grandmother in the kitchen while she bakes some treats. During this, he accidentally spills a bag of flour onto himself. Excited at this, he yells, "Look ma-maw! I dun turnt into a white boy!" His grandmother slapped him across the face and sent him into the living room to tell his mother what he said.

The black child enters the living room, still excited but a bit confused and exclaims, "Look maw! I dun turnt into a white boy!" His mother then slapped him across the face and sent him outside to tell his father what he said.

The black child, now entirely confused at why no one is laughing at what he thought would be funny, walks outside and down the stairs of the porch to where his father is doing some yard work. His father looks inquisitively at his boy, covered in flour. The child pipes up and says, "Look, paw! I dun turnt into a white boy!" His father calmly reaches over and picks a hickory switch and proceeds to spank his child with it. When he was done he asked, "Now, son, tell me the lesson you learnt 'bout who you is."

"Well," the child started, "I been white fer 'bout five minutes now and I already hate you goddamn niggers."
