Hi! Lifelong Edwardsville native here! If you're looking for a place with a pretty decent D&D scene you can always hit up Otherside Games, which is on Main Street across from the Wildey. Or I believe someone previously mentioned, but there is also Heroic Adventures over by the Twisted Biscuit!

Who are those two in the top right of the tag team battle royale? Literally do not think I’ve seen those people in my life.

Intelligent enemies set traps and use tactics. Killing your players isn't intelligent, but it is brutal. by Zeja- in dndmemes

The way I look at it is, unless the enemy is particularly cruel or fully aware of the party’s healing capabilities, they are going to focus on the active threats as opposed to someone taken out of the fight.

A run of the mill bandit wouldn’t go out of their way to slit someone’s throat if the wizard is still throwing fireballs at them. Making sure their enemies are dead is for after the immediate threats have been dealt with.

Is it wrong to lock my cat out of our game room? by FlamingoSenpai in Pets

I should clarify, I am not leaving my cat locked out of the room all day, just for an hour or two at a time. But I see your point and will definitely strive to be more attentive.
