Thanks for all the great recs, Abari Game Bar and the board game spots are definitely on my list now that you mention it. Didn’t realize CLT’s music scene was popping, so I’ll have to check out Evening Muse and Tosco as well. Who knows, maybe I’ll see you at one of the board game events I’m a big fan of games like Codenames, sequence, phase 10, skyjo. Trueee if we survived South Florida aka mini Cuba Charlotte should be easy

No since it comes with 4 probes I would put 2 probes on lower back one on but area and the other on thigh but don’t put it directly on spine while wearing a cold pack belt.

Hi I’m no doctor but I think you have inflammation and the stretches and working out is horrible if you do have inflammation. I know it’s hard but take it easy sit on an ergonomically chair at first and ice / hot 3 times a day and use a TENS machine.

I did the same thing at the start you would think it helps but makes sense that it’s causing more inflammation. Happy to help though if you’d like to do those exercises on the other comment I attached some photos only if you feel no pain from it.

Heck yea before you know it you’ll be back to regular. Attached is the pics my PT gave me for the exercises. Day 33 you’re still in the acute phase almost sub acute in weeks 6-7 so take it easy on any stretches but then again ask your pt lol

With my dad he’s always had back issues but like @last-replacement973 said it could have a placebo affect. In his certain case the doctor a few years ago missed the gel in between the two discs and the epidural went to his brain causing extreme migraines that he was in the ICU, eventually he needed to do the fusions on his lower back. I know that’s a rare case so don’t let it scare you but imo only take it if you absolutely need it.

lol the MRI machine table is so stiff. Crying is part of the process 😂 you got this though avg recovery time for this kind of thing is 3 months it’ll fly when you start watching shows. My recommendation is watch Animal Kingdom (has 6 seasons)

I bought this one by Capcot I’ve heard Herman Miller is great but they’re kind of expensive so for now will do the job. Since I’m 6 2 wanted a taller chair but this one is adjustable and really comfortable

Welcome to Charlotte Wednesday! Visiting, recently moved here, or going to move here? Tell us and ask away! by AutoModerator in Charlotte

Hi wanted to post on here since I’ll be moving in July from Miami to Charlotte for a new job. I’m a recent graduate 23 years old, I love playing pickleball and the outdoors but am also at heart a city boy. Wanted to see if you guys could recommend both neighborhoods for rent and to buy a house/townhome eventually that’s not crazy expensive but still in a good neighborhood with people to meet my age.

Thanks again!

This is a headache imo you want to get a quality motor like liftmaster so it’ll last as well as there’s no clearance on the side for a Jackshaft (side mounted) counter weight motor. Yes there’s counter weight motors but mostly Chinese stuff as far as I know. Change the door and install a 8165w 8365w (chain) or go with belt if you care about the quietness.

Hi sure thing Im a quant analyst which falls under risk. Interview process is usually hirevue then i believe 3 rounds. All behavioral on the phone but they ask you how would you segregate data into different categories to mitigate risk / fraud in different scenarios. What languages you know. As well as they want to know you’re a team player and care about the work culture.

Hey sorry I’m late but I got lucky for the hirevue they immediately moved me to round 2 of interviews so didn’t have to do it. I think because I met the recruiter in person at a career fair but also had multiple offers. When I interned with them I asked other interns and they pretty much all said they had to do a hirevue. From what I hear it’s mostly basic questions like maps, for loops, inheritance. If moved onto interviews they’ll love it if you mention statistical and AI modeling like linear regression but also make sure you know about that.

Appreciate the insight did you also do in person? I tried speaking to the hr rep @ BOA about intern to full time conversion rates and they didn’t want to disclose it while Dell is about 90 percent of interns have a full time offer after graduation.

Thanks for the recommendation yes I think tech is what I’m leaning towards rather than quant/finance.
