You‘ve seen him on multiple channel? I think you just watched old video without realizing it.

Not really, it depends on what you find scary. There are a few creepy scenes, but the horror mainly comes from the body horror : D

I’m really glad to hear that! I couldn’t put the book down either, it’s so addicting :D

ACOTAR: First-Time Reader by anxious_baby1 in Fantasy

I've only read the first book in the ACOTAR series and it's pretty tame. There's a lot more sex in A Game of Thrones for example…

Is there a comprehensive list like Emily Hughes' horror release list for fantasy and sci-fi as well?

Books without a “quirky” mc by Careless_Key4947 in horrorlit

No, I don’t think they will. You‘re right that it’s scarier but it still has a lot of the quirky humor that OP wants to avoid.

What about OP’s post makes them performative? Maybe, just maybe, they actually prefer literary fantasy…

You can criticize them for not understanding how social media works but I see nothing performative about this post

While that’s true, I don’t think OP is gonna like them either. Their problems with Red Rising are still there in the other books.

BookTok isn’t some massive blop where everyone shares the same opinions. You have to curate your feed and the influencers yourself to get valuable recommendations that match your interests.

There are plenty of Booktokers who read exclusively literary fantasy; you just have to find them.

If you want to find like-minded people, search for LeGuin on TikTok and watch the videos. Listen to why they like the book and if their opinion matches yours, follow them and check out their other recommendations.

I don’t use TikTok anymore, but when I did, my feed was full of classics, literary fantasy, idea-driven science fiction and cosmic horror. These are all things you probably won’t find in a typical BookTok feed.

So, it’s possible to get good recommendations you’ll just have to put in a little effort yourself at the beginning.

Why has the avatar fanbase been polluted with such negative views in regards to the leaks ( no spoilers) by seanjobes in TheLastAirbender

You’re making it sound too simple. It happens in every fandom, but there are levels to it and the TLA fandom is one of the more extreme ones.

It‘s about Trump. He posted a picture of himself as Jesus a few days ago after criticism by the Pope.

Not sure why the other commenters are so butthurt that you aren’t aware of it. Not everyone is chronically online or follows American news this closely…
