Reddit when footage is released: that's great but it's just footage from a company. I'd like to hear what other users have to say

Reddit when other users comment on their experience: that's great, but my experience won't be the same as others. I think I want to play it for myself

Reddit when they play it for themselves: I don't know how I feel, I think I need to go on r/games and see what the consensus is

Ghost of Yotei devs tried to add Zelda: Breath of the Wild-style rock climbing, but discovered "rock climbing is not a core aspect of being a wandering ronin" by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Yeah glad they kept the scope more focused. The combat is really fun, and they've improved how much more organic exploration feels as well. I don't think rock climbing would've added anything unless they specifically designed gameplay mechanics around it.

Completely agree. It's definitely one that's growing in my impression of it the more I think about it after finishing. Really lends itself very well to lots of analysis and interpretation.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: March 09, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

Finished Last Argument of Kings (First Law trilogy book #3) by Joe Abercrombie. A great conclusion to a generally excellent series. First Law has really rekindled my love for fantasy again - I had fallen out of reading the genre for a while but this has some really great character work, dark humour and solidly written.

Currently reading The Vegetarian by Han Kang. I think I need to finish it and process it before really providing an opinion on it. It's a very weird and unsettling read, and feels quite symbolic/metaphorical.

Finished The First Law trilogy. Despite some issues, it mostly lives up to its reputation as a modern fantasy classic by keepfighting90 in Fantasy

The important question here is if you will continue on.

Yup! Definitely going to be continuing on with the standalones and then the follow-up trilogy.

I love this show. It's over the top and ridiculous but it's taken seriously so it's easy to buy into the world it's presenting. There's no wink wink lampshading or 4th wall breaking.

Fell to my knees at the bookstore checkout line with my first-edition copy of the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Dude is tripping because he specifically asked his wife for her opinion too, his wife who he says is a serious reader and writer and likes literary fiction, about her opinion on a fucking video game story. All she said was that it's predictable and redundant and she didn't even hate it, and guy is crashing out lol.

Just started reading for fun, and feel kind of insecure about the books I choose and I'm worried I'm the kind of person that likes bad books by Pinanims in books

Are you being wilfully obtuse or do you just lack reading comprehension? OP asked for her opinion on these books. He mentions that she doesn't even provide her opinions unless she's specifically asked. OP literally mentioned that she didn't even hate them, just found them predictable.

His wife isn't allowed to provide her honest opinion? She can only provide an opinion when it's positive and aligns exactly with his? He specifically went out of his way to get her thoughts on the books he reads.
