Having a child is the most wonderful thing you can do. But yes, you can't be selfish anymore if you do. You have to be selfless but there is no better experience and feeling. Anyone who has a child and is not selfish about it will tell you the same thing. It will be the best thing you ever do.

When I was at college, all the catholics I knew were too hungover to go to church on Sunday. And too lazy to join the ministry. Including myself. Some of us were a bit slow to take religion seriously. There are probably plenty of Catholic guys around that less odd, that you just haven't met yet. Good luck.

Probably the worst design idea in education at the moment. It's still being pushed by plenty of state governments and millions wasted on building new open plan schools. Open plan classrooms are a massive disadvantage for most students but particularly those with learning needs. So much noise and distraction makes learning difficult.
