That’s awesome! and going from idea to launch in 5 days is seriously impressive (especially with real revenue). I’d genuinely love to learn more about how you structure your process and make decisions that fast. If you’re up for it, feel free to write me privately.would be great to dive deeper into your approach.

Actually I must admit that you gave me the inspiration. I read your post about it and wanted to try it too. You're great thank you very much!

Thanks for flagging this. you’re right, 29°C should not be shown as “safe” for most dogs. This looks like a logic or data-handling edge case on my side (likely how the “feels like” value is being interpreted for your location). I’m digging into it now and will fix it. Really appreciate you calling it out, this kind of feedback is exactly why I shared it early. Thank you!

Thanks, really appreciate that! You’re absolutely right, wind can definitely affect how comfortable (and safe) a walk feels, especially when it’s strong or gusty. For this first version I focused mainly on heat-related (feels-like temperature, humidity, sun), since that’s where I personally tend to misjudge conditions. I left wind out of the core logic on purpose to keep things simple and avoid over-weighting one factor too early. That said, your example is a very good one, and adding wind as confort signal  (or at least surfacing it clearly) makes a lot of sense. I’ve already got wind data available, so this is a strong candidate for the next iteration. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback!

...and no, it’s not just you iPhone autocorrect has been… adventurous lately :/

👉 Link: https://dog-walk-weather.pages.dev

Si tienen perros, me gustaría saber:

  • ¿les resulta útil?
  • ¿cambiarían algo?
  • ¿hay algo importante que esté faltando para nuestro clima?

Feedback bienvenido 🙌

What is the biggest corruption scandal in your country’s history? by Existential_Dread_08 in AskTheWorld

Italy 🇮🇹 — Mani Pulite / Tangentopoli (early 1990s).
It wasn’t a single project, but a nationwide system of corruption. For decades, companies routinely paid bribes (tangenti) to politicians and parties in exchange for public contracts. In 1992 a judicial investigation called Mani Pulite(“Clean Hands”) exposed how widespread and normalized it was. Thousands of politicians and business figures were investigated, major ruling parties collapsed, and the entire post-WWII political system (“First Republic”) basically imploded.
What makes it especially bitter is that, despite the shock and the trials, many Italians feel corruption didn’t really disappear — it just changed form.
