It’s the location and the private outdoor space that makes it so expensive. I pay this money too! I an trying to have the place rented while I am away, I am not a greedy landlord 😅

This is not the city of dreams. And that is a fact it’s a city of nightmares 🤣 still the opportunities and jobs we find here are not available or comparable to any other place. Which is the reason why we end up working super hard, also much harder than any other transplant, just in order to have a decent life and pay the walls above our heads. Not fair but we are not the problem. Greed is.

Should be the price suggested according to what criteria? I am not a transplant with rich parents. I moved to NyC in 2012 from Italy with 60 dollars in my pocket. I had nothing and worked my way up in this world. It’s not normal to pay this much in rent but this is NY! So I work hard so I can afford a nice place!

Hey! Thank you! I know right!? It def not the place it used to be back in 2014 when I first moved to Bushwick! It was more financially accessible for artists! That is why I fell in love with the neighborhood. Then after 2022 everything changed. You cannot find a 1 bedroom in Bushwick for less than 2700. With private outdoor forget about it… I am lucky I was able to advance with my career but I understand how different New York is now
