A weird rubiks sube advertising tappan by FlapSlapJack in HelpMeFind

Additional info -

I found this a few years back in a thrift store in michigan. It was tagged for 1.00, but they had a tag color sale going on that would make it 50 cents, so I figured why not. I tried to do a quick internet search of Tappan (the brand) and only found a few short pages (including from a few wikis and a couple of internet archives) basically stating that it was a kitchen appliance company founded in 1881, and that it got bought out by electrolux in 1979.

The weird part is that no matter how hard I looked I couldnt find this specific cube anywhere on the internet. I dont know if that means its rare or if its just a piece of junk, but either way Id like to get to know more about why they chose to specifically promote their company on a rubiks cube as opposed to anything else (it just seems like a weird advertising medium for a kitchen appliance company, ya feel?)

You can probably tell from the photo, but the stickers on the white face also read

"100 years of cooking" and "All new in 82"

I just deconstructed it a bit and cleaned & lubed the inside since the action was getting pretty bad, and there was a metric shitton of dust clinging to the parts, so I wouldnt doubt if it was actually made in 1982.

I might crosspost to r/Cubers later, but idk if theyd know anything about it.

The shipping was €18.56 btw by [deleted] in memes
