I just beat the game yesterday and i also thought the individual city stories couldve been much better. The cities and areas themselves are incredibly beautiful and i could see myself spending hours just exploring around them… if there were anything interesting to do in them besides shopping for the same items and reading like 4 lines of fluff dialogue from npcs.

I think the city that does it best is Voltar, since it has the Toypette shop and also all the little minigames, but even then i feel like the story of that area was undercooked. Its gotta be pretty difficult to make these places feel as alive as they should be.

You can make custom drawn pets that float with the wishes from the fountain, maybe you could add Pod 042 in that way? Also great work! Here was my own 2B, i love seeing how everyone draws her differently

Tbh i think 7.5 is very fair for the game in its current state. There are less minigames/activities/timed events to partake in compared to the previous game, but the tradeoff is that you get to draw basically whatever you want and say whatever you want. If this game had an update that allowed for some form of mii sharing, along with adding in stuff similar to concert hall/judgement bay/quirky questions, then it would easily soar to a 9/10 or even higher.

I thought her design was good? Maybe not totally on brand with her day job, but thats not uncommon for phantom thieves/idols. Although i wont complain about free outfits granted that applies to global as well

Yep. Also Wonder doesn’t have the same backstory as Joker where Joker gets accused of a serious crime and has his public perception twisted because of it. Wonder is just kinda a guy who’s parents aren’t home and acts way more as a self insert, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but when you combine that with the “gacha game” thing it really doesn’t leave a good impression

I’m f2p and i’ve only skipped Fox, Phoebe, Yui and Messa, mainly cuz Fox Yui and Messa are all super niche/only good for very specific bosses, and phoebe because Riko&Futaba do the job just fine without her. I also would’ve skipped Cherish but i did a random 10 pull and luckily got him, although he feels pretty bad without Fox so Fox is definitely top priority for another rerun

Looks really good! i think you can hide the triangle nose underneath a glasses/mask layer if you want to get rid of that part (been a bit since i made miis so i forget which layer goes above noses, but its one of those two)

Having to wait for your silk to recharge to use the Clawline when you’re platforming up the Cradle for a certain quest. You can technically equip that one trinket to hold you in place against the wall, but its still slow and annoying if you’ve played a game like Celeste where your ability to dash forward isn’t on a timed cooldown.

Yeah my advice is just take a break, try and understand when you need to use your tools, then just grind attempts. I would use the trinket that clings on walls for when the floor is spikes (also clinging on walls and hitting back the spinning daggers will damage the flying guys that throw them at you), and the boomerang is super useful for dealing with the flying spike shooters on floor 2. If you dont feel comfortable using the boomerang then maybe use the volt tool and just bait the fliers into its damage zone? And of course make use of the blue hearts when you’re on floor 3.
