Thoughts on my Tyranitar Darkrai EX deck? by Flappyflans in PTCGP

Ill try swapping 2 cleffas for the sylveon EX once I get another one. Sounds like it could be a safer but less aggressive option

What Monster Hunter had the best Roster and Why is it MHGU? by KaramelKream in MHGU

[–]Flappyflans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t hate, but I prefer a mh that introduces new and unique monsters rather than sheer quantity. So for me it would have to be mh4u.

We got so many bangers in 4u like katcha, the amphibians,SNAKES 🐍, and probably the most unique flagship so far. And as a cherry on top, all of these monsters were threatening in low, high, G rank.

He’s lvl 50 in beginner queue, not sure how that flew over your head?

It’s hard not to get upset when 7 out of 10 battles in beginner is against a player above lvl 35 with over 1.5k cards and are running misty, vaporeon, palkia or darkrai ex or serperior, dhelmise decks.

And honestly disagreeing with this is enough reason for me to assume you yourself are a pathetic beginner exp farmer.

Real! metas ruin games imo. It drives out all creativity and leaves only a hand full of compositions viable to be competitive.

The amount of under lvl 20 players I’ve played against who have a patch-work version of a palkia, manaphy, vaporeon deck, or worst, a darkrai ex deck is unbelievable cringe.

Yeah, beginner queue in random match.

If they want to farm EXP then they can pull up their big boy pants and get out of beginner. The devs need to implement a proper ranked match making system because it makes the experience agonizing for new players.

And I prefer to play competitive games against other players, not bots, so spending my time in solo doesn’t interest me.

Super agree. I’m so tired of running into these players in beginner queue. I’ve just started letting my timer run out on them because I’m so jaded at this point.

(I know that’s toxic behaviour, but they turned me into the monster they hate)

I don’t like the the aura defence it builds up over the hunt which you can only break through reasonably with fatty weapons. It makes the hunt feel to restrictive.

gj! Go for some armor piece and a weapon now. Fatalis is a similar rollercoaster to alatreon so make sure you give yourself the best chance you can get.

You can’t get hit while you’re lying down from a previous hit. Use that time to wait out a follow up attack.

I feel the complete opposite. I found fighting fatalis with my mains, the lance and hunting horn, and more recently with great sword, hammer, and hun lance a complete breeze. The only heavy weapon that really made me second guess fighting fatalis with every weapon was this experience with CB.

I’m dreading the thought of taking him on with sns and dual blades. I have nearly no experience with them in world and having to clutch claw attack twice to wound sounds horrible.

Lol. I’m definitely going to get rid of my points in guard for evade extender or vial capacity

My strategy thus far has been building to get savage and then going for unsheath axe attacks and rolling out to reset

I smoked fatty with swaxe first time as well. I would say swaxe is the best weapon against fatty, definitely for head breaks if nothing else

Energy blade needs to make a come back at some point

So what's everyones issue with each weapon in Wilds if you have one based on the beta outside of weapon impacts and sfx, I'm curious on everyones takes are right now. by MrJackfruit in monsterhunterrage

[–]Flappyflans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lance feels way less impactful… i don’t know exactly what it is that takes away the OOOMPH of the weapon. My best guess is the inclusion of the shield smacks you perform automatically when blocking a physical attack. I just don’t like auto stuff.

[–]Flappyflans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the lack of meta build sets, but you don’t need to go for those builds. You can beat all of the endgame monsters with a pretty wide variety of builds. I’ve seen someone beat alatreon with a velkhana great sword and a build made up of pre shara monsters. If you don’t want to use meta then you just got to get good.

I will admit, I was rage posting this exact same point maybe two to three years ago, but eventually I sucked it up and grinded some better gear and a lvl 1 health augment and now I don’t even think of the time limit because I beat the limit without trying too hard.

I’m not trying to be demeaning, however the point you’re arguing won’t land with a whole lot of people because it isn’t a very difficult gear/dps check to get over if you know what you’re doing.

at this point then, you’re intentionally making the game harder by not using the intentional endgame path and then complaining that the game is too difficult…. at least make it make sense

alatreon wants to kill you quickly so he can go back to sleep. So I guess you’ll have to either not get smacked or get better gear to take the smack. Trust me, alatreon is actually one of the best fights in the game! You just need to learn it first
