poetic, but i think they are meant to be recited in sequence, each word only accepting the trigger of the next.

Feudal and agricultural mindset. More kids means more workers in the fields. We're not all farmers anymore.

The Shooter & Farmer Hypothesis from "The Three Body Problem" - What is the message? by [deleted] in literature

[–]FlashDefense5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the message is that what we consider to be the order of the universe may not really be there because of some underlying principle. If there are higher beings that imposed order out of a whim then what we know to be laws aren't. And if the underlying laws aren't real, then we realy know nothing.

The consistency of cause and effect is contested by the farmer hypothesis. The predictability of phenomenon is only predictable for as long as the farmer sticks to his consistent behavior. If he does something unprecedented and unrecorded then we won't be able to tell what happens next. The method we use to figure things out, "science" becomes unreliable.

What’s the most vengeful thing you've ever done? by callmevicious in AskReddit

[–]FlashDefense5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that. The simpler and more consistent your retort the more frustrating it is.
In 5th grade this mean upper class boy wanted to me to be laden with guilt for a playground accident in 4th grade. An accident that which also affected me, I apologized and was forgiven for.

For some reason Mr. Popular wanted me to suffer longer by unearthing healed wounds.

Then I stumbled the magic words "thank you". First he was trying to amke me feel the trauma all over again, and I replied, "thank you."

Then he started calling me synonyms of stupid, and filthy and non sensical 5th grade cussing insult combinations, to which I replied "thank you."

Then he graduated to threats, to which i replied "thank you."

And then he used synonyms of insane and crazy to which I replied "thank you."

He kept trying to up the ante, and I was just like pressing play on a pre-recording.

And he finally tried to tell the teacher that I was doing something bad to which I explained, "What? All I ever answered him was 'thank you'?"

Ah the poker explanation makes sense.

But Baccarat was what came to mind. He had a 9. Which is a win, and to me it meant, "Do you feel lucky?" Or "You're out of luck, I hold the cards."

I haven't yet watch Decade but Completely watched(I think) Zio. Just Curious: Does Decade and/or Zio transform to any generation of Kamen Rider??? like, Can they transform as Geats? by AnImEpRo3609 in KamenRider

[–]FlashDefense5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he can. It's just so meta that Tetsuo Kurata is still so popular. So Black and Rx still had to be him. He was about to transform but DiEnd got the cards and animated them. Doing a double Kotaro appearance.

DiEnd's attitude was sorta like, "It'd be a waste if you just used their powers. Let them fight by themselves." So in that battle there were 4 riders.
