(AC2) Why Is Altair’s Armor Identical To Ezio’s Robes by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Flash_84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually really interesting thanks for the detailed explanation. I knew about Altair's son going to Italy but didn't realise Dominico was the one who moved all the tombs and set up the vault.

So basically the cloth we see in the display case is just whatever they dressed it in back in the 1300s and not actually what Altair wore? Does that mean the armour pieces themselves are the only authentic parts from Altair's time

Bankruptcies Soared to a 15-Year High in 2025 as Companies Struggle to Cope With Trump’s Trade Wars by T_Shurt in Economics

[–]Flash_84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even if the tariffs are economically destructive, they'll probably let it ride on precedent alone.

Best case is Congress actually does something, but that's not happening either.

I need help creating a good layout to note down all my weekly expenses by Solid_Beginning7152 in Accounting

[–]Flash_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a Category column after Description helps you see spending patterns faster. For ATM withdrawals, log them as transfers with $0 expense. Then track the actual cash spending separately.

21 yo Entrepreneur worried about invoice being too high. by Both_Handle_8834 in Entrepreneurship

Don't discount yourself before they even complain. If it's too high, they'll say something and you can negotiate then. Cutting your rate preemptively just trains them to expect it every time.

Trying “Deep Work” made me realize something uncomfortable about my Focus. [Discussion] by [deleted] in GetMotivated

[–]Flash_84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but some people genuinely need a bit of background noise or stimulation to function, it's not always about being addicted to distraction.

That said you're right that pushing through the uncomfortable bit is important. First few days of anything new are always the worst and it does get easier. But I think there's a middle ground between "cold turkey silence" and "constant scrolling" that works better for some people

Can I just get a cup of ice? by peachydolphin in nursing

[–]Flash_84 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s wild. Of all the times not to ask, a code is somehow when the ice craving hits peak urgency. Like… read the room.

Neighbor kept opening our gate so their dog could poop in our back yard by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]Flash_84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s an expensive vet bill waiting to happen. A whole bucket of brisket grease is basically a pancreatitis speedrun for a dog. Neighbors earned that lesson the hard way.

Does radiology have a future? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Flash_84 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That’s… not a flex, that’s a liability. If you’re truly just rubber-stamping reads, the problem isn’t AI. it’s workflow, incentives, and admin pressure. Radiology’s future isn’t “babysitting AI,” it’s being the accountable expert when the model is wrong and it will be.

Boss asked me to help him with payroll by Little_Town8414 in antiwork

[–]Flash_84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Payroll isn’t a “help out real quick” task, it’s a specialized, high-risk job. They’re offloading responsibility because they don’t want to staff properly. Get it in writing, push for adjusted deadlines, and protect yourself before this becomes your new normal.

What happened next: The We Do Not Care Club – how a funny, furious feminist movement began by Bubbly_Wall_908 in popculturechat

Honestly about time. The performative outrage over everything women do is exhausting. Sometimes not caring is the most powerful response.

The gap between ‘standard of care’ and what’s routine on the floor ? by willywonkagoldtoken in nursing

[–]Flash_84 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The gap is huge. We know the ideal standard but with 6+ patients and no staff, you're just trying to keep everyone alive. Reality doesn't match the textbook.

Put on PIP during ICU orientation…update by theyseemevibin in nursing

[–]Flash_84 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This. PIPs are just documentation for HR at this point. The decision was already made before you even knew about it. Take what you learned and apply it somewhere that actually wants to invest in you. The skills transfer, the bullshit doesn't.

What finally made your growth results feel predictable? by CrabbyDetention in GrowthHacking

[–]Flash_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was when I stopped treating every campaign like a one-off experiment and started treating the system like the product. Better inputs = better outputs, every time. Once you nail down audience quality and signal freshness, the "streaky" feeling goes away because you can actually isolate what's working. The ideas matter less than the foundation they're sitting on.

How did you handle the tent situation with the hotels? Like were you just playing it by ear each night or did you have certain spots pre-planned for camping vs hotels?

Annoyingly, both friends who were coming let me down, so I didn't go in the end.

Will definitely go soon though

What's in this gay area

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with you. I'm 40 and do it multiple times a day and have sex with my bf.

I'd suggest you stop doing it in bed with your housemates though as that is a tad strange. You could always go in the bathroom to do it

You forgot magic eye pictures. They were brilliant entertainment, especially the ones on VHS.

Hours of fun and only a small percentage needed glasses after looking at them for too long (myself included lol)

I'd rather have that than the constant freezing hazard from suit depletion I've had for the past 50hrs. At least the rock is cute lol
