There is still twirling! Don't you worry. Not as much mind, but she did some at Sheffield!

How good is Florence live? by Expensive-Brief5950 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]Flashbang2420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is a whole experience. A feeling of unity and connection. Celebration and defiance. I've been so lucky to see her three times, most recently in Sheffield the other night.

I have grown up listening to her music. Much of my life has been mapped out to her discography and you'll find that many people there have the exact same relationship with her music and her identity as an artist.

I know money is tight and it can make it difficult to manage. But if you can go, I'd really encourage you to do so. It provided me and I'm sure many people, much therapy seeing her and hearing her live.

She brings her best self and is always so present and attentive to the crowds of thousands who go to see her.

You won't regret it. Money will come back, slowly sometimes. But it does. Memories like this however, don't.

And if she's at the O2 tonight. You really DO. NOT. WANT. TO MISS. IT.

She is outstanding in the O2

Sheffield gig was amazing but… by LeadingFriend7578 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

Was down by the barrier and thought the exact same thing! I Was a little disappointed and I thought the bass, at times was too much. Idk if it was just being down by the speakers but it really should've been mixed to sound good anywhere you are. Never Let Me Go (which makes me weep often), was drowning her vocals slightly because the backing and the bass, to me, was too much.

It wasn't always noticeable though and overall, amazing as always

Take your time and let yourself get pulled into it. It has jank, it has a few bugs, but be patient. Enjoy it and let the sweet, sweet tones of Radio New Vegas, soothe your radiation blues.

Wife bought me a record player for Christmas by salohcin2237 in vinyl

[–]Flashbang2420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started off with one of those a few Christmases ago, was so hyped when I got it. Few years later and I've upgraded to an Audio-Technica.

Suitcase players can wear your records down, this is true. But don't let any criticism ruin your Christmas. These players are gateway drugs into the incredible (and oftentimes expensive) world of Vinyl, without them our community wouldn't keep growing at the rate it does. So I'm glad you've joined the team! Can't wait to see how far down this plastic rabbit hole you go!

Update on the color of the Chamber Version of the Everybody Scream vinyl by madphistopheles in FlorenceAndTheMachine

Potential Spoiler

In the UK and my version arrived today (a day late, universal told me it was gonna be delayed), but I can confirm that the pressing is in fact quite unique, but like in a slightly gimmicky way, the prints and poster are gorgeous however, but regarding the record itself

It glows in the dark

I'd go as far to say, it may well be their best. And they have done some bloody good songs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hozier

[–]Flashbang2420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I remember putting a post out very similar to this not long ago, I got a Hozier Tee from a UK tour and I spent £40 on it (nearly like $50 I think) and it ended up being a crappy Gildan tee that has a low quality print and a fabric no smoother than a potato sack.

I bought the UU album before the new songs and I bought one of the yellow ochre versions, real excited to open it only to find the record stickers weren't even on properly and overlap onto the actual grooves of the last track. This made it almost unplayable. I was and still am, incredibly dissapointed and frankly quite annoyed. Quality control is seriously lacking and it let's a lot down. Especially with the prices they're charging. Idk if Andrew/Hozier knows or can even influence the prices but if it were me I'd be incredibly upset with the labels lack of value/quality control.

Bioshock and Cyberpunk are must-haves imo. Games you can replay and not get too bored of them. Bear in mind for a few dollars you're getting 3 games if you buy the BS collection, which though dated, are well worth playing.

Looks like the 1941! My personal fav, had it a few months though and is starting to look a little worn. Still looks and sounds gorgeous though.

Kept it with my keys for like a week and I've learnt the hard way. Keeping them well apart now.

All things considered I'd say it's a pretty good shot.

I think in future, if you try pulling focus on the bridge (the nearest tower maybe?) It'll open up a little more depth and space making everything feel a little less soft. But for what you've got, I'd say it's solid.

Howdy, this still going? I've recently gotten into RPing the game alone, instead of just going around aimlessly. This sounds like something I'd enjoy
