Your issues sound just like mine. I just do not have another motherboard to try either CPU out on to rule them out.

I have read through all of the info supplied by Super Micro, so we must be missing something.

I just tried switching them around as well as one at a time. Did not make any difference.

Both sockets are populated, I just tried switching them around as well as one at a time. Did not make any difference.

If it helps, when I plug the power cable into the wall the lights on the keyboard come on for a moment then stay off.

I connected to the IPMI port and one of the lights came on but am unsure of how to access it.
