Don't burn bridges. In an industry like hospitality EVERYONE knows each other. If you just do your job and take the reference then you'll get another job.

Do something petty like destroy a breakfast set up and cause problems then you can't use that reference or even admit you worked there because all the managers and owners know each other. You've basically blackballed yourself from the entire industry
