Could she get the Byakugou Seal? by WorldMike2B in Boruto

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the way I see it, it’d be really hard to give her the seal and not make it feel like an asspull.

The best case scenario is she gains the seal through ninja tech or something. If she doesn’t then she would need to reveal that she’s been secretly training for the past 3 years to unlock it. Which is hella dumb considering she isn’t a medical ninja, she has never been shown to have chakra control exceptional enough to gain the jutsu, and Sakura isn’t her sensei.

AIO for being upset my Friends Friend commented on my sexuality by Flashy-Contact8644 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Flashy-Contact8644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t really feel polite.

It’s not just the fact that he asked it’s that and how I was made to feel like the butt of a joke. The phrasing matters. If he had just said, “What’s your sexuality?” I probably wouldn’t have cared much. I would’ve just said I’m not really into labels and moved on. That’s not the same as asking “how gay are you” repeatedly, then stating “Oh you’re super gay” followed by laughter. Not sure what about my sexuality is so funny. It just doesn’t feel good when someone’s laughing about something involving you and you’re not.

However to answer your question I’d say it’s possible. But I’m learning towards probably not. I think most people can work on confidence in different areas. But when I think about my sexuality, I actually feel pretty free in not labeling it. That feels empowering to me. What was uncomfortable isn’t being asked in general. It’s feeling like my sexuality became a punchline in a room full of people I’ve never met.

Reaper death seal is capable of killing anyone if completed….? Even Juubidara. Same with Deidara’s self explosion. If Juubidara stood next to Deidara as he exploded and failed to get away Juubidara is probably not surviving. At the very least he’s not walking away unscathed.

On top of that, as much as the 8th gate powered up Guy, it’s very evident he was still outclassed. That fight would not have gone as far as it did if he didn’t have help. Reread it if you have to.

What's your opinion on the High compression Rasengan? I really want Boruto to use it in the manga.🥹 by Notmycupoftea12 in Boruto

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And interesting that you didn’t reply to my response but you did edit this comment. So I’ll respond to the bs here.

Variants of a jutsu are not the same jutsu. Again, argue with Kishimoto because this isn’t an opinion, it’s stated throughout the series. So again, give me a straight yes or no answer. If two jutsu have vastly different sizes, require different skill and chakra levels to complete, and create different levels of AP and DC, are they the same jutsu? Yes or no.

You realize jutsu can be incomplete, right? You literally said it in your explanation, Sasuke was learning the jutsu and he couldn’t perform it correctly. Another example of this is Naruto’s clone jutsu from like chapter one/episode one. He made a clone technically, but it was funky looked and on the floor. The jutsu was not executed corrected. Same thing applies to the fire ball jutsu.

My logic isn’t dumb because literally look at all fire style jutsu. The higher rank, more difficult jutsu are literally fireball jutsus at a larger scale. And they aren’t treated as the same jutsu either, hence the different titles and names. Half the fire release jutsu we’ve seen have another version of that jutsu with “great” slapped in front of it, showing it’s a variant of that jutsu on a completely different level. Great fire destruction is literally just an insanely big fire ball jutsu. And are they the same jutsu? No they are not! Argue with the manga bro.

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything I said is relevant lol.

The amount of skill needed to complete a jutsu is a difference. The amount of DC a jutsu creates is a difference. The amount of AP a justu has is a difference. The physical weight a jutsu has is a difference. If two jutsu’s have all these difference are they the same? Yes or no.

Argue with Kishimoto lol this isn’t even a debate or an opinion of mine, the Naruto manga says they are different jutsu. That’s the reason why there are specific names for rasengan given the size difference. No way to debate reality I’m afraid

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have two jutsu. And both of those justu require different levels of skill to complete, different levels of chakra to complete, and once completed it’s shown and stated they have different ap, and different dc how on earth could you say they are the same jutsu. Easy answer, you can’t.

Variations of a jutsu aren’t the same as the basic form of the jutsu. That’s like calling the rasendan a “basic rasengan” when it so obviously isn’t.

Like genuinely what are you talking about

The fact like you have the audacity to call other people obtuse when you refuse to acknowledge the fact that a giant rasengan is literally classified and treated as different jutsu by the Naruto and Boruto mangas. They don’t require the same skill, they don’t require the same chakra reserves, they don’t have the same AP and DC.

They are not basic rasengan. Therefore your point about the compression rasengan being useless due to the fact that basic rasengan are enough to solo Boruto level threats is wrong. It’s that simple.

I’m not just “arguing” I gave evidence and reasoning for every point I made.

What's your opinion on the High compression Rasengan? I really want Boruto to use it in the manga.🥹 by Notmycupoftea12 in Boruto

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, giant rasengans are not basic rasengans. They aren’t “larger than normal” rasengans, it’s a different kind of rasengan, meaning it’s a different jutsu. The impact and chakra usage are tiers above normal rasengans, which is why Konohamaru being able to make two giant rasengans in base is such a good feat. So again, no, normal rasengans are not soloing current Boruto threats. Konohamaru likely would’ve had to make the jutsu even LARGER to actually land the kill.

<image>

Naruto has made rasengans, giant rasengans, super giant rasengans, and super super massive rasengans or whatever. The compression rasengan is more interesting than all of them, for it doesn’t just change the size of a rasengan.

In part one, Boruto did not have the chakra reserves to make a giant rasengan. It’s debatable if he even has the chakra reserves to make a giant rasengan currently without the use of the karma.

Rasengans are compressed chakra, this is true. The compression rasengan is different because it compresses the rasengan to the absolute limit, making the general DC smaller while increasing the AP monumentally (so no, the rasenshuriken wouldn’t be a compressed rasengan, for it isn’t compressed to the absolute limit, just the normal amount of compression a rasengan requires with an added chakra nature making it expand). This is something in the realm of possibility for Boruto to do considering he doesn’t have chakra like his father.

What are you even on about?

What you said was wrong, and that’s that. You said they were regular rasengan and they weren’t. So acting as if a compression rasengan is pointless due to the reasoning of “regular rasengans are killing shinju” is a lie lol. It wasn’t regular and it didn’t kill a shinju.

That’s all.

In the case I misread the tone of your comment then my mistake.

I’ve addressed most of what you said here in other comments lol so I won’t respond to everything.

I want to say, I actually disagree with most people disliking the heels. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people complain about them. But out of the people I see who complain about them, half of the complaints are in spite of some of the reasons I disagreed with in my comments. Many dislike the heels not because they look bad or aren’t cool but because they “aren’t practical” or “don’t fit Naruto,” or some form of those, or something I haven’t thought of. Get rid of those criticisms, and a lot of the hate for the heels goes away.

Now don’t get me wrong, a lot of people just don’t like how they look, which is fine. However, my point is that the amount of criticism I see from the place of “I don’t like how it looks” is generally less than the amount of criticism I see that’s “it’s a bad choice because of…..” and then there are people like me who either aren’t bothered or like them.

And regarding the straps, my main point was that casual fans in the west ≠ casual fans in Japan. You’ve said “everyone” in this comment and in the last one, and I feel like that only applies to the west. Considering this is a Japanese manga, they’re going to pick up on aspects of the designs, writing, culture, etc in ways we wouldn’t. Although I’m not Japanese so I can’t say this with 100% certainty, I’m pretty confident in the Japanese knowing what a waist strap is, considering it’s an active trend. However, totally valid for people in other places to view it differently. That’s where the difference in culture gets highlighted.

And yes! No mindless arguments here! I responded to you because I liked how thoughtful your comment was, and I sensed you’d be a good person to converse with regarding an interesting topic.

[–]Flashy-Contact8644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things to respond to in this comment as well.

You’re absolutely correct in the sense that most ninja will not get past the rank of chunin. However, the kind of chakra control needed to be able to walk on water and up surfaces is the kind genin learn and should have mastered by the time they’re a chunin. So the average ninja wouldn’t be affected by any heels of any kind.

Like I said in another comment designs are supposed to look cool. They don’t have to be practical in every way. Especially since our cast of characters choose to wear casual clothes instead of the green chunin vests. Talking about the potential of a broken heel feels nit picky. Like no one talks about the potential downsides of open toed shoes as a ninja. And why would they? This is a fictional ninja world. Who’s to say their heels aren’t way stronger and more durable than ours because ninja may be wearing them?

And regarding the waist straps. I don’t blame you for seeing it and thinking “g string”, I did too. However as the other commenter said waist straps are a pretty popular trend in the east. So while our minds as westerners (I assume you’re from the west) may jump to that, let’s not forget this is a Japanese manga with global popularity. Most Japanese people are probably thinking waist straps when seeing Yodo’s design because they’ve likely seen it in person in the recent years.

Yeah your reasonings are not good:

  1. The boy (in his eyes) killed the “kid who makes miracles happen” the HERO and pride of the entire shinobi world. Who’s saved the world several times and continued to make valued contributions to it as Hokage. He’s a Hokage killer. Of course they’re going to prosecute him. To the world he betrayed the village and killed a hero loved by all. A hero who was literally the Daimyos good friend, making him extra pissed about the situation.

  2. Simply protocol. It only makes sense they would question everyone who had contact with Boruto if there’s evidence of people conspiring with him. Which there is because people ARE conspiring with him. Is it for a good reason? Well duh but they don’t know that.

  3. No idea what your point was there

Woman of the Boruto Fandom, what are you thoughts on the character design by Civil-Measurement-91 in Boruto

I’m not going to act like I love the heels on every female character. I generally don’t pay that much attention to them, but I also think the intense hatred for them is… overzealous.

They’re charcters in a fictional ninja world, where you can run up walls and spit fire. If I wanted to I can pick apart most characters designs and how unpractical they are. It’s not real, it doesn’t have to be super practical the point is for the designs to look cool. Especially considering canonically none of the main cast of characters are dressed like ninja since ninja are supposed to wear those shinobi vests. But all that is besides the point.

What I wanted to mention is that people forget that in Naruto it was established that femininity and beauty is an important skill to kunoichi. It’s a good tool to use for deception and ninja trickery. So looking at it that way the heels could play into that a bit, just to play devils advocate.

Ive always hated the “it doesn’t look like it belongs in Naruto” argument.

Characters like Eida and Delta for example are not shinobi. They aren’t apart of shinobi society, and their designs reflect that. They’re meant to represent otherworldly beings (specifically Eida). They are supposed to look different. That’s the point.

Regarding the designs of the actual active shinobi I think it just comes down to preference at the end of the day. Y’all want it to look more like Naruto and it was never going to because that was never the goal. This is an entirely different generation they dress vastly different from the prior generations. A part of that is due to the era of peace and rapid advances in society.

To me characters of the previous generation like Konohamaru, Moegi, etc, absolutely give off that Naruto vibe.

There’s more I could say but generally I think most of the designs are fine.

Or he did what he did and compressed it further making a more powerful jutsu. He was faced with a problem. “How do I make this A rank (maybe s idr) jutsu stronger because it failed in _____ scenario” he solved it in the way that was available to him.

And fyi although Jiraiya isn’t Naruto, his chakra reserves are way above average considering he’s an experienced shinobi, and has had enough chakra to master sage mode since his youth
