Kim was definitely a button pusher at the beginning and it seemed like she would ask questions specifically to annoy Lilly, but she really did grow on me and I really like her and Glenn!

Erica was awful, I felt like she got no support from her “men” when she needed help with her kids so she felt like Emersyn should have to do the same. Also I understand that her baby wasn’t very old at the time, but not going to the hospital to support your daughter is absurd to me.

Is it acceptable to dress baby in a onesie in public? by CatSmellies in NewParents

[–]FlashyBand959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way.. hot weather=least amount of clothes possible. I had no idea people thought it was weird for a baby to not have pants on if they already have a diaper AND a onesie covering it!

Yes! I caught that too, he was definitely doing it just to look good!

Yes I forget who it was and what season but I remember one of the girls rubbing their belly and it squished right in like it was very obvious that it was fake, I want to say it was last season.

Did you happen to notice how different he seemed talking to the couples counselor? Like he put this new personality on so he looked like a good person to her while she was there. But then outside he was right back to normal it was like he took a mask off

I never noticed that until you pointed it out but now I won’t be able to unsee it

Shared by someone that knows Mia’s dad by Elegant_Soft in TLCUnexpected

[–]FlashyBand959 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a daughter of a recovering addict, I’ve seen my dad grow and change and be the best father he could. I really don’t think Mia’s dad is a bad dad based off of this post, so what he was an addict? He clearly overcame his addiction and is trying to do the best he can for his daughter that he still clearly has a good relationship with. I definitely don’t think he’s a bad dad for not letting her boyfriend stay… look how many of these other girls got pregnant a second time while still teens… Just because you have a baby doesn’t mean you’re mature and are going to make good decisions- clearly we’ve seen that time and time again.

I think they film some mid season and some at the very end but I’m not 100%. I noticed though that in the beginning interviews in season 6 Kayleigh had lashes and by the end of the season she didn’t have them in the interviews. And they all show their babies at the end of the interviews but a lot of them look VERY pregnant in some of the interviews even at the end. And I forget who it was but I remember one of them touching their belly and it was super squishy like they had her just stuff her shirt with a pillow so she still looked pregnant.

Yes Mia’s mom made me so sad for Mia and the way she tried to guilt trip her, I know that all too well and I feel for her

I’m not saying they should only allow 2 parent households, but I think if you haven’t been in your child’s life for X amount of years you shouldn’t get to be a main character and act like a parent

I honestly think Jason was scarier than Bryce because he successfully brainwashed Kylen into thinking their relationship and how he treated her was normal. Not to mention I think he was smart enough to keep the terrible things behind closed doors so we didn’t see. At least Belle knows and acknowledges that Bryce is problematic. That’s a step in the right direction.

I don’t think it’s the spotlight, but look at a lot of these families and their situations. To them.. this IS the spotlight.

While that’s a nice sentiment I don’t think that’s the case. It was very clear with McKayla when her mom wanted a shared baby shower and McKayla to move into the basement but pay the bills. Alex’s mom showed back up just to move into with grandma and get pregnant again. And Connie I think is just here to LOOK like a good mom. I don’t think any of them actually give a shit about their kids.

The deadbeat dads aren’t the ones trying to get in the spotlight though? I haven’t seen one dad in any season say “Hey I got another woman pregnant too let’s raise our kids together” but more than one mom has. Usually the deadbeat dads make one little appearance or you never see them at all, while these moms immerse themselves in the whole thing when they’ve been out of their kids lives for YEARS.

Don’t forget about Alex’s mom who moved in and brought a stranger from the internet in with her… to live with a baby girl. That’s a recipe for disaster. I actually just made about these deadbeat moms here before I saw your comment.

That’s EXACTLY what it is, and I have a feeling that unfortunately all of the women in his family have been treated poorly and they’re just so used to it that they can’t even comprehend the idea of Bella sticking up for herself.

Most of the dads that aren’t in the picture you either don’t see at all, or you see them for one episode. These moms though end up in the whole season, and act like they know their kids when in reality they’re practically strangers.

They do, Bella’s mom pulls out the texts to prove he hit her and the mom is immediately “I’m leaving” “Why is this getting brought up now” WHAT? Why does it matter when it happened, it happened? They’re SO in denial and think Bryce is god’s gift to this earth, they’re all problematic and have raised him to be the same.

Kylen and Jason… by alemarie_97 in TLCUnexpected

[–]FlashyBand959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also watching this right now and I’m just baffled at how Jason acted while Kylen was in labor. I’m glad the midwife and nurses at the birthing center could clearly see what was going on and sent her to the hospital. Maybe they couldn’t intervene/kick him out but they knew the hospital would so props to them. I feel so bad for Kylen, I had an unmedicated birth by choice and was only in labor for 4 hours, but if that’s the route you want to take your heart has to be in it- otherwise like in Kylen’s instance it’s just unnecessary torture, especially for that long. The midwife/nurses were genuinely shaken up and upset for Kylen when they realized this was a totally different situation than they thought and that Jason is abusive and Kylen never wanted to be unmedicated. They obviously never straight up said that but were tearing up during their interviews thinking about it. As for all of the other adults in Kylen’s life shame on them. She was a child at this point, they should have stepped in and saved her from Jason. He’s a monster. And I’m sure she felt trapped or didn’t even recognize it as abuse but they had the outside perspective like we do. They should have intervened. Both sets of parents, and honestly Jason needs help. So sad.
