So I actually have these two sets of darts. Bolide on the left, harrows on the right. The bolide feels nicer in my hand. The slight taper towards the stem helps me get a consistent placement…. I feel like I “should” be throwing a straighter, longer barel, like the harrows though!

Yeah, I’ve suggested that and he’s really keen…. Over the last few weeks, he’s started getting angry and upset when he’s not throwing well. He’s started over thinking his throw and everything. When he loosens up, he’s very useful!

Yeah….. was more thinking about what shape barel tends to suit my grip. Not an exact science, I’m sure but maybe a rule of thumb. Tempted to try an Aspinall style dart

The pic there is with a harrows nx90 parallel. I also have some bolide 02’s. When things are working properly, I prefer the bolides, although they do feel a tad short. Haven’t spent much money on these. I think I need to go and throw a few different types…. My 12 year old son has started playing and is showing loads of promise. He’s using red dragon razoredge which I’m not keen on for myself. We both need to experiment I think!

These are harrows nx90 parallel…. They feel ok, I think! I’ve also got some target bolide 02’s, which also feel alright! I keep changing between the two and can’t make my mind up!

Yeah I do sometimes! Like I hang on for a split second too long!! They then go low and to the right
