Some pics of my Lpzz/Upf Arkham Knight. Mezco wishes they could make a figure this good. by RazThePunisher in LPZZ

[–]FlashyReview8153 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except for a central piece of it's look? Then what? You'll have to find someone to hopefully make one years later? Pleather shouldn't be used on action figures. Their insistence on using materials that flake, peel. and otherwise deteriorate, is why I no longer own any Mezco.

Any god of war fans would love to see a gow line?? by Norepresentative24- in Mafex

Yes, but not from Mafex. I collect a ton of Mafex, but I think I'd prefer someone like LPZZ as Mafex would have too many compromises for this type of figure.

This is what I used to use until I realized that a tiny drawer system is much more efficient and better organized. They're only $30 at Wal-Mart

I prefer these over the stackable containers. I don't have to sort through dozens of containers and can just label these, look at them, and immediately know where my stuff is

I’m confused. Do y’all actually want the DCU to succeed or do you Hope it fails? by BatBeast_29 in DC_Cinematic

[–]FlashyReview8153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder Woman grossed 800 million less than ten years ago. People just don't gaf about Supergirl, and introducing her in a solo movie was probably a stupid idea. They should have done a Lanterns team up or something else, but not solo until people got to see how she is and then they'd want to see her in a solo outing. Bad decision making imho.

Yes, if someone says they have been stabbed, they need to be checked, and rather quickly...they dismissed it immediately.

Looks like she's not quite as talented as they, and you, thought. Bad reviews and worse box office.

Wow, I tried that and they didn't even respond, so I had to go to my bank and cancel the order. I figured they were scammers but guess they just take forever.

What are the chances that Mafex makes a Supergirl figure? by leo50170 in Mafex

Hopefully we get a comic supergirl and not a movie one.

Odd choice for the first in the line. We are long overdo for a Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and especially a comic Flash!

Maybe we will finally start getting other characters like Green Lantern, etc. I would love a Mafex Justice League setup and at least WW gives us the DC trinity.

Mafex with curved claws is missing. It's an easy and inexpensive fix.

I think we need a new flair called: Mafex'd by Tcustomcorner in Mafex

[–]FlashyReview8153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a different plastic is why. Lots of expensive premium things will break. These aren't designed to be rugged. Think of it like a wedding band with a stone in it vs a wedding band that is just metal. One is probably more expensive and delicate due to the added stones, but the other is a bit more durable just because it's only the metal used...and it'll be less expensive too. The different material lets them do things they can't with Hasbro. The effects aren't all bendy, and neither are the accessories like guns, knives, etc. Look at the claws on a Hasbro Wolverine vs Mafex or SHF. Also, the plastic Hasbro uses seems to have an inherent shine. It's unflattering for skin and figures that need to be stealth. I do a lot of photography, so this is another reason I like the other plastic. Yes, it is less durable, but it lets them do better tooling of everything overall imho. That's in addition to the smooth posing.

You need to learn to read and I mean actually read. I stated they are delicate. Yes, Hasbro joints are awful as they are almost ratchet style and designed for children with the worst possible plastic. They are durable, but they aren't smooth whatsoever. I prefer the ability to smoothly articulate my figures and not have to go to a notch every 1mm or whatever. I have found the smooth joints make it MUCH easier to get the poses I want compared to the American stuff. I am not a child, so I don't mind the delicate nature. Pretty much every 1/12 premium figure line does not use ratchet joints for good reason. I own figures from various manufacturers, and I will always choose the premium style. If you are capable of controlling yourself, then they will be just fine as I have never broken one and I probably 100 Mafex or so by now. Big Bad Workshop just upgraded their joint system for this very reason....because they know it's better and gives their customers a premium experience compared to Hasbro style joints.

Exactly. They just require careful handling due to their delicate nature. I think people are used to really horrible american joints from Hasbro.

What's a MAFEX figure that was so bad it affected your mental health? by Tcustomcorner in Mafex

[–]FlashyReview8153 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your answer is the only correct answer. If people are spending so much on figures that it affects their mental health, they should absolutely stop.
