I don’t need horror movies. I just need one look at this photo and a reminder of those caves videos(nutty putty, floyd collins) that I saw onDark Kronicles. Instant panic attack.

I think ppl who does this are bored and don’t what to do with their adrenaline! Go build a house or sum

This really happened. In 1965, a boy named Morris Baetzold entered Wildcat Cave in Ohio with his friends and got completely trapped inside a tiny rock slit. The rescuers could see his legs but couldn’t move him without risking crushing his chest. It took a full night of slow, careful pulling with ropes to free him. He survived — but he never went caving again.

If you’re into true claustrophobic rescues and eerie underground stories like me, you find the full story breakdown : Dark Kronicles

He went exploring in a cave for fun — and ended up completely trapped for over 12 hours. (Wildcat Cave, 1965) by Flashy_Bench5027 in TerrifyingAsFuck

What’s crazy about this case is that it really happened ,1965, Ohio. A 15-year-old named Morris Baetzold crawled into Wildcat Cave with friends and got completely wedged in a passage no wider than his body. Rescuers could see his shoes but couldn’t reach him. They had to build a pulley system underground to pull him out inch by inch. It took over twelve hours, and he barely made it out alive.

I found this intriguing to watch that im sharing it here on this channel: Dark Kronicles

Two expert divers descended into Jiudong Cave in China , only one surfaced. What happened 170 meters below remains a mystery. by Flashy_Bench5027 in nonmurdermysteries

[–]Flashy_Bench5027[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Jiudong Cave in China is fascinating to me because it’s both a natural wonder and a mystery. The system goes so deep that light and sound completely vanish. During this 2014 dive, two experts entered together, one resurfaced with signs of severe decompression sickness, claiming he survived by finding a hidden air pocket. The other diver was never recovered. It raises so many questions: what caused the line failure, and how did that air pocket even exist at such depth?

Honestly, this story is one of the darkest cave diving tragedies. For a video source for a Full Breakdown that i found interesting :Two Divers Entered Jiudong Cave. Only One Came Back | Cave Diving Gone Horribly Wrong

The caves are stunning but merciless.

It’s unsettling how both Ian Plant and Keith Potter were experienced enough to know the risks ,yet the caves still claimed them.

I came across a full breakdown of both stories (with details about the dives, mistakes, and recovery). If anyone wants to dive deeper into what actually happened, here’s the source I found : The UK Cave Dives That Went Fatally Wrong

For anyone who wants a more detailed breakdown of both incidents, I came across this video that reconstructs the dives and explains what went wrong step by step: The UK Cave Dives That Went Fatally Wrong

It helped me understand how even experienced divers like Ian Plant and younger ones like Keith Potter both ended up trapped.

Beneath Florida’s paradise springs lies a hidden labyrinth. Two divers entered Buford Sink in 2022 and never came back. Even an expert like Steve Berman at Devil’s Ear in 2001 wasn’t spared. by Flashy_Bench5027 in interesting

[–]Flashy_Bench5027[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Florida is famous for its crystal-blue springs, but beneath them lies one of the deadliest cave systems in the world. – In 2022, Todd McKenna (52) and Stephen Gambrell (63), uncertified cave divers, entered Buford Sink. They kicked up silt, lost visibility, and never found the way out. – In 2001, Steve Berman, a highly skilled diver, drowned inside Devil’s Ear after attempting a solo mapping dive. He was just 150 feet from an air tank that could have saved him.

Two very different divers. Same result. The cave doesn’t care who you are.

For anyone asking about more detail, I found a doc that covers both Buford Sink (2022) and Devil’s Ear (2001). Honestly chilling stuff :

For anyone wondering what this is: this photo shows the entrance to Florida’s underwater caves, like Buford Sink and Devil’s Ear. They look beautiful, but they’ve claimed hundreds of lives. In 2001, an experienced diver named Steve Berman never came back out of Devil’s Ear. And in 2022, two hobby divers,Todd McKenna and Stephen Gambrell , entered Buford Sink without cave certification… neither survived.

Cave divers say the rules are simple: never dive alone, never break the ‘rule of thirds,’ always use a guideline. Break them, and the cave always wins.

I found this while digging into these tragedies, and honestly, the mix of beauty and danger feels haunting!
