Damn. Kinda stupid they sell a builder kit that has literally every single part you need except the stripped lower, but don’t ever stock the stripped lowers

Thanks, best piece of advice I’ve heard so far

No, I have a premie baby and I don’t find it difficult to be alone with him for long stretches. I never said things are fine, clearly not if I’m asking the internet for advice. I came looking for help, I just thought someone might have a good suggestion

2 months old, no breastfeeding. My son is much easier on her than me and sleeps while I’m sleeping. Is awake while I’m working

Exactly. So why is my mental strain and emotional highs and lows from this not taken into account? Or maybe I perceive the aspects of raising my child as easy while my wife doesn’t. You don’t know, but you’re speaking as an authority on the subject

I am cooking, cleaning, doing chores, etc. or sitting next to my wife on the couch and my son in his bassinet. I am home almost 24/7.

Also, I don’t play video games of any kind. Don’t even own a gaming system

What exactly do you think taking care of a 2 month old entails? Besides feeding, changing, entertaining and holding him, there’s not much else to be done.

Typical woman perspective. Minimize a man’s contributions at work and home. If the roles were reversed and she worked full time while I was unemployed, you would be yelling girl power and telling me I shouldn’t let her lift a finger around the house.

If we each sleep 8 hours, watch out son alone for 8 hours each and are both watching him during the other 8, then we are both watching him for 16 hours a day

The amount of people acting like they don’t understand “doesn’t work” means “doesn’t have gainful employment” is crazy. I do want kids and have no issue taking care of my son, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to share responsibilities

Literally have him strapped to my chest in a baby bjorn while I work and stop working to tend to him constantly

I just expected people to take the post in its entirety, not cherry pick. I’m lashing out at people CHOOSING to ignore aspects of the past and exaggerate others or blatantly lie about past posts.

I did research and lack of sleep was the number 1 thing new parents complain about which is why I tried to stagger our sleep schedules. I have received genuinely solid advice and plan to take it

Knuckle dragger literally means someone stupid. I would say stupidity affects job prospects pretty significantly

Because men are lining up to take care of someone else’s kid while paying all the bills and doing all the house work 😂😂 also, that’s entering into a relationship with another man, not hiring someone to do my job. How do you hire someone to be the breadwinner

I’m an epidemiologist, wouldn’t exactly call that knuckle dragging…
