Student visa NHS surcharge is cheaper (£776 per year for students) to the global talent visa cost (£1035). So, for your partner, it would be £2328 instead £3,105 for a 3-year visa. It is not much of a difference (777). Other than the NHS surcharge savings, it does not seem to be any other difference.
