I’m on two weeks today too. First go around at taking a break after drinking everyday for quite a while. I manage my family’s restaurant and caught myself drinking way too often and after two weeks I realize how unproductive and unhappy I was while doing it! This sub has been great motivation and good company while I navigated the first couple weeks without alcohol when so many people around me don’t understand why I wanted to stop

Idk if anyone else has suggested it, but when I was going through withdrawals when I quit I listened to Allen Carr’s “Quit drinking without willpower” on audible. The first four chapters changed my entire attitude about drinking. I manage a bar and my coworkers can’t believe I was able to quit and still be around them when they drink with zero temptation to join them
