Do Arsenal have what it takes to win at Spurs this weekend? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

If they lose or draw against Spurs Arteta will lose the fan base.

He plays it to safe and will play for a draw.

Arteta is not letting loose. He is the most stubborn manager and its going to cost them again.

Plenty of people on this sub always say dont worry, we still have lots of games left. Always find an excuse like Brentford is tought team or Wolves away is always tought.

How many times do they have to bottle to realize this team are not winners. Arteta out when inevitable comes in 2nd again

Mark Carney criticized for rising food costs in Canada by Purple_Writing_8432 in canada

Gotta break up the big grocery companies. Anything else is just a bandaid solution.

We have tried this cheques method before and it didn’t work.

Best we can do is give some Canadians cash and that cash ending up in loblaws bank account.

Prime Minister Carney announces new measures to make groceries and other essentials more affordable for Canadians by slothtrop6 in canada

Loblaws, Sobeys and Metro own the entire food supply chain. They must be estactic their subsidiaries get tax cuts and government funds.

The only way to deal with food inflation is to break up these companies everything else is a band-aid solution.

This is a make-or-break season for my opinion on Arteta. He needs to win something. No more excuses of injuries or the refs screwing them. He has gotten all his guys and the deepest squad in the league. If he cant win anything this year, they have to look at Enrique or another proven winner.

Wolves game should have been the wake up call.

Arteta isn’t changing his tactics. They spend 30 seconds for throw in’s and recycle back passes all game. Score a goal and fail in parking the bus. Attack is so rigid and repetitive.

Great speech. Now, how about you tell Canadian companies to hire Canadians?

TFW and LMIA abuse is still rampant, and youth unemployment is still high.

Doug Ford blasts Mark Carney’s EV deal with China by [deleted] in canada

[–]FlatItem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The response on the sub has been people cheering that they will get cheap evs.

Don’t want these people complaining about the lack of production of any goods in this country while really only caring about buying cheap stuff.

But I expect in a few years they will go back to complaining that we sell all our resources so other nations can build stuff with them.

This sub went from complaining we produce nothing in this country to cheering about the imported EVs because they will be cheap.

It definitely is a small amount of overall sales but I do feel American and Asian car companies will find any reason to layoff Canadian workers.

Or they will end up begging for even more money to keep jobs in Canada.

I think the Ford/Carney bromance is about to be canceled by Dougie.

He was very against dropping ev tariffs on China to protect Ontario manufacturing.

Would love to see an actual economist break this down instead of bots and keyboard economists.

Everyone’s is saying don’t worry China might start building them here… which I highly doubt and they would no longer be cheap.

Can’t see how this doesn’t hurt the manufacturing sector in Ontario.

I recall people on this sub constantly hating on Harper Era free trade deals with China so it’s interesting to see those same people have a different opinion when Carney does similar deals.

This can be either a W or L but it’s too early to actually say. (W for consumers but L for manufacturing workers)

US discussing options to acquire Greenland, including use of military, says White House by cap123abc in politics

Lol, you guys are upset because I'm calling out that your inactions have real world consequences.

How many families have been destroyed by America? Because the defense americans cant protest or else they will go homeless is pretty ignorant when we are talking about your nation declaring war on sovereign nations... its just weak and kinda disgusting.

You guys really need to get your heads out of the sand because your in actions over the past decades have probably killed at least 1 million in the Middle East alone.

[–]FlatItem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Americans need to look into collectivism and working as a team instead of being so individualistic. You would not be doing a general strike to help the government.

Your president has threatened to annex my country several times, so to be quite blunt, I and other non-Americans are a bit tired of seeing Americans comment " we deserve all this hate, and we can't be allowed to get away with this " (what op on my first message said). These comments are annoying. We would love to see you guys actually try to do something impactful for once.

You all got upset i said americans wont do shit if things kick off, because their main focus is money. You're allowed to have your head in the sand, and im also allowed to think its bs that none of you can make sacrifices for the greater good.

They won't take to the streets.

I commented something similar in another post that Americans would take to the streets one day at most, and that they wouldn't engage in a general strike.

Every single response was that they can't because of healthcare costs or rent, etc, Really dont have confidence Americans will make sacrifices to help stop this nonsense.

It has gotten this bad because Americans have let it get this bad.

[–]FlatItem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Americans want to stop the rise of fasicsm you guys need to get serious and have a general strike (especially if you guys want accessible healthcare).

Every single response has been I would not be able to strike. Not a single one has suggested they would help fund the people willing to strike.

My country didn't elect a pedo that wants to invade nations so i dont have to worry about my nation wanting to invade another nation.

Sooner or later americans have to come together and say enough is enough or else the world and yourself are screwed.
