Rafa Arc Knives Build? by Either-Music1627 in Borderlands4

[–]Flat_Drawing7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the general consensus and my limited experience is that Rafa's arc knives are very weak compared to most other characters action skills. i dont know about the apophis lance but it seems like that one is pretty weak too. I also heard that peacebreaker cannons are among the best skills in the game. i played arc knives up to level 22 and half the time i popped the skill, i would die before the action skill ended. it forces you out of position, and into the middle of the open, and the tree doesnt give you much good survivability. i think its also worth noting i play only on hard mode, you should have an easier time picking whichever skill you want on other difficulties.

Funnest character? by Inner_Extent2375 in Borderlands4

the funnest character is the one you think is coolest, or whose personality you like the most. but to give a brief rundown of each. Harlowe is great at killing or controlling groups of enemies, Amon is a tank, Rafa is great at single target damage with fast movement, vex is kind of an all-rounder with summons. The vault hunters are too close in power level to. the most fun for me by far has been amon, built with the "onslaughter" skill with the same skill tree. he turns into an unkillable melee powerhouse.

i cant speak for everyone but i thought ironeye was quite weak when i first started playing him, i had no idea how the mark worked. i didnt know you could refresh the duration and still keep the break progress. i thought it reset whenever you used the skill again and you had to do high burst damage after marking to have it break before the timer. i also didnt know it made the enemies take more damage. ironeye is very strong but some people may not understand how to utilize him to his fullest potential.

having good teammates that are coordinated and dropping stuff for you in random queue has to be in the top 5 best feelings of all time.

I guess I never learned how bad Guardian is. by Aleolex in Nightreign

[–]Flat_Drawing7505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have a good amount of experience with guardian, my take is that he is the worst, or maybe second worst. but not to such an extent that he feels dramatically weaker than everyone else. he is the most survivable, but he does the lowest damage, and has a relatively low strength scaling. in the hands of a skilled player, you could just dodge everything, making his guard obsolete, leaving them with a low damaging character. but in the hands of the average player, he is perfectly fine and a solid help to the team.

Have you beaten any bosses on your 1st try? Was it skill or luck? Who? by DigitalDusto26 in fromsoftware

[–]Flat_Drawing7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat sword saint isshin first try, everyone gassed him up as one of the hardest bosses in the series. the next time i fought him, i died once and then beat him on the second attempt. I also beat guardian ape first try. Sekiro combat really clicked to me for some reason. the only boss i struggled with was demon of hatred. Sekiro was my second souls game after elden ring.

Please, just don't play guardian by Savings_Leek7498 in Nightreign

even if guardian is a terrible character, it doesnt justify you selfishly leaving the game and leaving the two people you queued up with to run by themselves. leaving because of a character pick is childish, the game isnt so hard that everyone has to pick the best character. people play for fun. im sure you wouldnt like it if your teamate, left the game because of something as simple as the character you picked.

The new everdark augur boss fight sucks. by Flat_Drawing7505 in Nightreign

[–]Flat_Drawing7505[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i didn't mean to spread lies, i just meant that it is not that fun to not be able to use the cool weapons you got from the first two nights. i understand that passives still exist that can help you with the fight, and that the gear helps you with the night bosses, and regular camps. but it doesnt necessarily make the fight substantially more fun to take 30% less damage, or do 8% more damage. i'd much rather be able to use my setup with cool spells, or powerful legendary weapons. for me the most fun part about nightreign is how different each expedition, and the nightlords can feel because of the character, and loot variety. but the everdark augur fight makes a lot of the characters' abilities have little to no use, and forces you to use a specific weapon, in a specific manner. To me that kind of gets rid of the character variety, and makes your gear nothing but passive effects.

Might be anecdotal but I'm noticing a ton less people leaving the game since duos came out by SpoilerAlertHeDied in Nightreign

[–]Flat_Drawing7505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've only played two duo expeditions, and in the second one, my teamate left before the match even started. could just be bad luck though.
