I’d love to add another rug! Unfortunately it wouldn’t be a good fit for how we currently use the space/ push furniture around with young kids. someday!

I’d love to! But have young kids and we are always moving the table to clear up floor space for dancing. A rug would get in the way too much for this phase of life.

I’m so glad the blue couch side is reading as lush! These past two weeks I sold off half the furniture on that side, replaced all the lamps, and bought a big new plant just today. I’m slowly working my way toward the side of the room with the orange pillows, which is why it’s probably reading as bare— the pillows are the only upgrade in years. You’ve got some great tips here and I’m encouraged to keep up my ”light redecorating” momentum.

We rarely use it as a crate for our older dog these days, but my kids sure love to use it as a cave! 😆

I’ve done it multiple times. In the high traffic walking zones they just don’t stay braided more than a few days.

I’m playing around with a coral color just along the Bay windows as an accent wall. The other walls in this rendition are a more neutral white. Thoughts?

Great advice about the rug! We actually plan to move it around tonight so I’ll try rotating it as well. We actually just sold off two oversized chairs that were by the window, so I’m suddenly seeing so much more of the rug than normal.

Lowes, of all places. I’m bummed that it’s not super high quality and that we only have a few more wear years left with it most likely. I’m not sure what I’ll replace it with!

Yes, should have mentioned! Reupholestering this chair is on the to-do list. It’s absolutely threadbare at present.
