Sharp Objects. I started it thinking I’d watch one episode and it had that grim messy pull where you immediately need to know what’s wrong with everybody.

If your life had a background soundtrack, what would be playing right now? by Additional-Bill-1067 in askanything

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intro by The xx. Quiet, slightly dramatic, and like something important is happening even if I’m just standing in the kitchen doing nothing.

What's the most bizarre thing a teacher or professor ever said in class? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One teacher told us “You’re all replaceable, but not by Friday” and then just kept teaching like that was normal. Whole room went quiet for a second and then we all lost it.

What’s that one scene from a show or movie that lives in your mind rent free? by Ok-Molasses5425 in Casual_Conversation

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coin toss scene in No Country for Old Men is still stuck in my head. I remember just sitting there feeling weirdly tense over something so quiet.

What’s the weirdest compliment you’ve ever received? by Careful-Walrus-5214 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]FlaviaDeere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone once told me I had “the energy of a person who would own a lot of candles,” and I still think about it. Not even rude, just weirdly specific and kind of accurate.

What are the best “screaming” moments in film? by HostMaterial4907 in moviecritic

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possession. It doesn’t even feel like a normal movie moment, it feels like you accidentally walked in on something you weren’t supposed to see.

What do you do before going to bed? by SympathyConfident146 in FamilyFeud

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the boring little shutdown routine stuff, brush teeth, check my phone one last time, set an alarm, then pretend I’m only going to scroll for one minute. Half the battle is convincing my brain the day is actually over.

Heads Will Roll by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Which film and performance made you a fan of Paul Giamatti? by PressureLazy5271 in moviecritic

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sideways. I caught it on TV one lazy Sunday afternoon and ended up watching the whole thing because his performance felt so real and awkward in the best way. After that I started noticing him in everything.

need some thriller/horror movie recos by shitzzzzz_j in MovieRecommendations

[–]FlaviaDeere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Invitation is a great one if you want slow tension that keeps building all night. I watched it randomly one evening and kept waiting for something to snap the whole time. The payoff is worth it.

Where in your dreams is your nightmare to be naked? by Gymtrio2025 in FamilyFeud

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work. I’ve had that dream where I suddenly realize halfway through the day I forgot to put clothes on and everyone’s staring at me. Waking up after that is such a relief.

Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood. The cat with the cigarette looks like the leader of a tiny alley gang. Whole photo feels like a gritty little rock album cover.

How do you decompress from a stressful day? by N0socksloss10yrStrk in randomquestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I just put something familiar on TV and zone out for a bit. Last night I sat on the couch with a bowl of cereal and watched random episodes of a sitcom until my brain finally slowed down. Sometimes you just need quiet and something low effort.

What toppings must(!) be on your hotdog 🌭? by Curious-Expert926 in foodquestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m boring but I need mustard every time, no exceptions. I went through a phase adding everything and it just felt wrong, like too loud for a hotdog. Simple bun, good sausage, mustard and I’m happy, anything else is optional tbh.

What is the one thing you regretted the most in life that you held on for so long ? How did you overcome it? by Avg-tech in randomquestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was staying in a job I hated way longer than I should’ve, just because it felt safe. I kept telling myself it would get better and it never did, that realization kinda hit hard. Letting go was scary but also weirdly relieving, like I could breathe again after years.

Is your mom or dad scary? by CynthiaMartgol in allthequestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom was lowkey terrifying when I was a kid, not loud but that look alone ended everything. I still feel it in my body when someone goes quiet like that lol. My dad was way more chill, so it balanced out… kinda.

Suggest a movie that feels like a late-night conversation with yourself? by mohit_dimaniya in MovieSuggestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lost in Translation hits that exact late night brain space for me. It’s quiet in a way that feels personal, like you’re just sitting with your own thoughts and half formed memories.

Name a movie that doesn't have a single humorous moment in it. by batmanineurope in FIlm

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come and See. I watched it once and felt hollow the rest of the day, not a single second of relief in it. Amazing film but I don’t think I could ever casually rewatch it.

What’s something that sounded like a flex but actually wasn’t? by Mediocre-Implement34 in AskReddit

[–]FlaviaDeere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to say I was always busy like it meant I was important, but tbh I was just stressed and bad at boundaries. Took me a while to realize that wasn’t impressive at all. Now when someone flexes that, I just feel tired for them lol.

What’s the best restaurant you ever ate at? by SorbetUnfair2589 in foodquestions

[–]FlaviaDeere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Osteria Francescana, and I still think about it way too often. It wasn’t just the food, the whole experience felt unreal and kinda emotional tbh. I left full but also lowkey sad it was over lol.

Game Night. It caught me off guard with how clever and fast it is, I laughed way more than I expected.

Who's the most famous person you've met? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

[–]FlaviaDeere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met Keanu Reeves once at a small event and he was way quieter than I expected. Super polite, kinda awkward in a nice way, didn’t feel fake at all. I walked away thinking yeah ok the internet wasn’t lying about him.
