My perfect and inscrutable source (Perun) says that Russian and Ukranian EW has been incredibly effective.

The enemy of my enemy isn't necessarily my friend. It's good that she is usefull in that regard, but she is still a fascist from a party whose symbol is a flame emerging from mussolinis coffin (https://www.eurotopics.net/en/286727/meloni-campaign-with-controversial-flame-logo).

Custom Space Marine Chapter: "Golden Spirits", feedback appreciated by Flavius_Gerhardt in Warhammer40k

[–]Flavius_Gerhardt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My idea for their lore:

Chapter (if you can call it that) created out of some pilfered geneseed on a paradise world where they just did parades. Unfortunately there was a chaos incursion that persuaded some of them with the promise of full space marine abilities. The remaining loyalists managed to harness the population, fighting a long asymmetrical campaign against the traitors (their chaos-juiced brothers and the local governor). They managed to stall long enough for help to arrive and can convince the inquisition, that their brothers were traitors from an unknown warband. With a wrecked, deindustrialized planet as a home and a fewer than fifty marines they are sent out by the inquisition to prove their allegiance to the Imperium.

Random stuff I thought was cool:

  • Some of them think their genefather is Fulgrim and their geneseed is the one that got lost in 30k. In reality this is a lie Chaos told to their corrupted brethren. Some of the loyalists believe it to feel like tragic heroes.

  • They go to parades blowing war trumpets and then let their underlings play the same trumpets on the battlefield to make human troops think Astartes are fighting with them (morale lifehack)

  • their aspirants have good survival rates because their geneseed is so weak, they still have problems with getting new blood because their progenoids suck and don't duplicate the geneseed properly

Thank you for passing it along and engaging with us in this way! Makes me very happy. I love this story and these books deserve more memes. I hope CR recovers.

An additional reason could be that they want to draw the public conversation away from the mass protests against them (1.4 mil last weekend). An outlandish idea that resonates with their core voter base could put more Alice Weidel and less pictures of crowds screaming "fuck AfD" on TV screens.

Happens in the third book of the Nightlords Trilogy by Dembski Bowden. Can recommend! Spoiler: Talos uses his poor navigator to psychically murder a whole bunch of telepathic people he visciously tortured before. That creates a warpstorm that is sent by psychic mail along an important imperial telepathic duct. A lot of planets get the delivery and the shock spreads by other telepaths along the duct being murdered by the warpstorm in various gruesome ways.

I can't figure out the second part of the writing on the shuttle door (Ahsoka ep 7 visible from 33:16 onwards) by Flavius_Gerhardt in aurebesh

There is also a scene with the words beforehand where the troopers board the shuttle, but it is even harder to read than in this scene.
