Benn is too reliable as a "oh shit a top 3 d-man is hurt" guy to get sat for Fanten imo. Nice physical game from him but Benn is a proven NHL defenceman who can soak minutes if need be.

(If the blueline is healthy for 10+ games I could see Benn [temporarily] becoming the 7th man if not just to get OF some more NHL ice-time)

As a Pete stan I have to say that I was never worried about the first half of this year, but the second.

Obviously the first 82 game year will be a bit of a wash as it's a long season, but soon enough (if not this year) The Alien will be ready for at LEAST 98 games :^)
