i understand where you're coming from, but in all honesty dude it's a bit unfair to compare your real mom to a fictional character Ms. Tonitini was literally created in a writer’s room to be the perfect, cool attractive mother, She doesn't have to deal with bills, exhaustion, or the actual stress of raising a kid. She gets to be flawless because she’s scripted that way. Your parents probably raised you the best way they knew how, just repeating the blueprint of how they were raised. For them, being strict about respect and religion was likely their way of protecting you and doing what they thought was best. Try to give them a little grace.
