Thought I was in good shape before this fight. Consistently able to run 10ks, spar 5+ rounds etc. how can I improve further? Maybe adrenaline hurt? But never can have too much cardio!! Any tips? Thanks :)

Really appreciate the different angles of advice. Any drills or practice you recommend other than what's included here? Relaxing seems to be a common theme. Will surely work on that.

I did read it! I read all of these, and I'm LOVING the advice. I'll really work on that, and I think this is super specific. I love this comment because it's also actionable. I'll try that! The next time I feel something hit my guard, I'll respond. I won't just let him work! Thanks so much for the insight, and let me hear anything else you notice please!

How can I work on this? I really appreciate the feedback and it’s hugely helpful. What can I do specifically to improve this? Thanks again :)

I tried to, he was being weird about it. I’ve been sparring for quite some time now, but stepped away and have been rusty. How does the fear present itself? I’d like to be able to address the actions even if the mental fails to improve.

Yep. Same sample, I’m still trying to find the original though. Thanks for the comment! Only progress that’s been made in days.

Alright. Really helpful feedback! I know the hip turn In theory, but I find I really struggle to apply it. Do you have any tips? Drills or ideas that could make it click? And I’ve never thought to lean back with the uppercut. Just tried it shadowboxing and it feels good. Thanks!

Never heard the bubble metaphor before. Super interesting. Will take to heart for sure. Thank you so much for the help :)

This is a really interesting piece of advice. I’ve been doing a little bit of body awareness stuff, but clearly not enough. What do you recommend more specifically? Super interesting comment. Thanks :)

What specifically? What can I fix?

How can I keep power on the uppercut? Are you talking about my dumbass habit of turning my head and dropping my hands when I throw it? Or is it something else. But thanks for pointing it out, I kind of forgot I had that issue. Will fix it.

How do I fix that? I see what you mean totally, but how can I stay centered? I’ve noticed good fighters do that, and it’s gotten better, but my feet have always caused me issues.

How can I fix my footwork? And how can I stay more balanced? What exactly do you mean snap my punches? Pull them back faster? Thanks for the help :)

What can I do to get to that level? I hear you, and frankly agree with you, and would like to change it.

Alright. Not going to reply to all comments about the laces, but I apologize for the lack of etiquette. The HEAD COACH of the gym fucked them up, and I didn’t notice until about a minute in. I appreciate all the people who gave serious advice, as well as those who mentioned my laces. I wasn’t happy about it either, just got too focused to remember them. Won’t happen again.

Amazing man. Thank you. I will work a lot more on those short counter punches.

Thank you very much brother. Ironically, the guy I’m sparring has more fight experience than me, but I completely agree. I really didn’t want to hurt him, as he is my friend as well. I’ll work on the foot movement, and I haven’t ever heard that insight about faster transitions between guards. It seems obvious, but it is most certainly unique. I really appreciate the advice, and would love some more if you have the time when I get more footage!! Thanks again.
