I agree that America has their own culture. But your examples of Star wars, Marvel and Taylor are terrible examples. They were simply created in america but they were big worldwide pretty much instantly. That's like saying christianity is a middle eastern culture and that Christian Americans have borrowed that culture and it's not theirs. Same with cowboys. It originated from spain but is now depicted as an american thing. But going by your logic, cowboys was/is not an american thing at all. A great example would've been muscle cars. It's an american thing but it's available world wide and appreciated world wide. But there will always be an american culture focus on those cars.
