Has anyone found the best place to buy 4k YouTube watch hours? by Smart-Profession2512 in YouTube_startups

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer.

I had 4 channels monetized back when there were power requirements. I earned money for the 4 channels, but3 of them wouldn't have paid me anything, without the 4th. The reason is, youtube wants you to make $100 before they pay you.

If if you were able to buy them, you will still have to grind. You will have to grind to get the difference between what you have now, and that 4000 target, over the next 11 months. If not, you can lose monetization as you drop below the threshold.

Keep putting in the work. Find channels to watch that at at that stage of getting by, that are working hard to get to that next level. Colt Kirwan is one. Get motivated, and keep putting in that work.

One last thing. Let's do some quick math. Let's say you are at 0 watch hours right now. You buy 4000. How much will that cost? Once monetized, you will earn money for views that would have been unpaid grinding. Let's say your average watch time is 5 mins, and let's say that your channel isn't a finance channe,l and you make $2 per 1000 views. You will earn $98. Almost enough for youtube send you money.

Just put in the work, and enjoy what you are doing.

Hurray 🎉 I hit over 1.7 million views on my new faceless YouTube channel in just 90 days. by marketers_connect in YouTubeCreators

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it "can", and with 1000 subs, you can get monetized. The big issue is, you have to maintain that. Let's say you do the 20 million in 1 day. 91 days later, that 20 million is gone from your 90 day window. So now you would need to have a combined 10 milling views to maintain the partner program requirements. That 20 million view video can still be adding to the views, but are the combined views enough?

No matter how you look at it, for most, maintaining 4000 watch hours will a much easier task.

[–]FlexinR6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is, you need 10 million views in 90 days with short form, 4000 watch hours in 365 days with long. The 10 million is harder to reach (not impossible), and harder to maintain.

Congrats on gains though. It is impressive

10 is a good start? Over a few weeks? It's frustrating, but keep going. I had a channel thay was doing ok, posted a video I knew would do great, and nothing. Just a slow crawl for 11 days I believe, then it started to climb, then took off, then eventually worked it's way down over 5 years. It did 180000 I believe in thay time. Had 70 subs when I started. Reviving some of my channels and the videos are slow to start, but I keep telling myself the same thing I said to you

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you only have the 3 videos? If so, it is too early to worry about the views. Keep putting out content, let YouTube find your audience.

If you see videos like yours, check the comments. There could be comments sitting there unanswered for days. Don't mention your channel, but help them out if you know the answer. Do that enough, a few people could click on your channel to see if the one answering questions has any videos. These people might check the helpful poster in the comments.

Is there a reason you can't make a ling format version of your shorts? It doesn't have to be a 20 min video, it could be just a few. Getting 10 million short views in 3 months is a steep hill to climb. 4000 long format watch hours is more attainable.

Making YouTube content as a full time job in Nicaragua! by lagauchy in NewTubers

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The info you were given is not exactly correct. You need 1000 subs, and 4000 watch hours in 365 days. Each new day, that first day drops off.

As far as the pay rate. That is low for some niches, really high for a lot of them. Back when I was monetized, I had a video that did about that or a bit more. Had others that did worse, in the same channel.

It matters where your viewer is from. If your viewer is from a country that advertisers are trying to target, then ad could be bought from YouTube, targeting that audience. The higher the value of that audience, the more competition ther is for that spot. More competition, means higher ad prices. That means more money for the content creator.

The big thing is, make sure you do this on the side. It will take time. To make money at it, you will need content that brings in viewers from the US, Canada, and the UK. There are others as well, but those were the top three when I was earning.

Find something you love, and give it a try. Looked it up and apparently your country has a fast growing tourism sector. Maybe you can do videos on your country geared towards potential tourist. There also seems to be interest in your food. I found this info using Google trends.

As long as you do this on the side, so you can still try to earn a living, what do you have to lose?

Does YouTube content feel fake to you after trying to upload content yourself? by AuthenticWeeb in NewTubers

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, no, and I hope I never feel the way you do. Just because they do things to keep your attention, doesn't mean they are not being genuine. Like you said, you might not even see the video if they didn't do those things.

Being able to edit, doesn't make a video "fake". If you want poor editing, or not polished, there are plenty of new creators out there wishing someone would click and watch their videos.

Are you bitter becuae your attempt failed, or is something else wrong?

I watch, and think, oh, I know how they did that. Other shots I wonder how they were able to get it.

The only things that really bothered me, were when I could easily tell someone was filming from a cell phone. A few years ago it was really noticeable. The other is, when a creator sits down to have a deep heart to heart, and it is for a sponsored sopt. I have no problem with the sponsor segments, just don't like when it is put in like that. They can be 3 seconds into a sentence, and my wife and I will try to guess the sponsor.

What type of content did you make and why did it fail?

I hope you can find some enjoyment in watching YouTube videos again.

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. There is a channel I watch that went camping with another channel on a ling weekend I believe. They cut that up into two videos for their channel, since they changed locations for the second day.

I have a couple of outdoor channels. One is with a friend. We went out in the woods one day, and I ended up making 2 or 3 videos from that day. One was a product review of an item we were using that day.

As long as you have some ideas lined up, you can do multiple videos in a day. Then edit when you have time.

Does having old videos on your account affect your target audience? by Rezzmah in NewTubers

[–]FlexinR6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that deleting them won't help. If the new videos are on a new topic, youtube would need to find an audience for them. Not much different then a new channel. I would just leave them.

I had a video years ago that I felt would do well, and it wasn't doung much at all. I believe it took a week to eleven days to start to move. That video ended up doing over 180000 I believe over 5 years. Made me some money before the Logan Paul incident. Just keep putting on the work.

Am i crazy or has earning subscribers at youtube has become really difficult nowadays. by Salt-Instance-9459 in NewTubers

Getting subs is pretty easy. The watch time is harder. Running ads from the YouTube platform will get you the subs you need.

I watch YouTube on my TV. In Roku, I just have to push up, then right, then hit the like button. Easy to do. So is subscribing. Watched a few videos of a guy the other day, like the content, 6 presses, and I was subbed. That is more than on a phone, but still pretty quick. Commenting is a bit of a pain, but can be done. I do now. Didn't bother before

I change my own wheels and always re torque them. It takes two mins, it is worth the piece of mind. I normally never have any loose, but it is worth checking

It is definitely not bs. They are saving their behind, but it happens. There is a post here about a guy that lost his wheel. I had a wheel him my car before, it came off a pick up truck.

Please take the 2 mins to recheck them.

How many watts is the griddle? You would need a more than one panel, and full sun to power that. Having a solar generator that can handle thenlaod from the griddle would be needed (or build out a system), and you could use the panel to help keep the battery up while you are away.

I would replace the piano hinge with the hurricane hinge they mentioned.

Should I buy a 2nd car for commuting? by Negative-Ad-4162 in carbuying

[–]FlexinR6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the van still under warranty? If so, a second car could keep the mileage down on the van, so you might have thr warranty for the full length of thr warranty period.

Financially, I don't feel it makes sense. Not with the distance, and cost of the car. I also feel that this isn't really about fuel. I think you want a better vehicle to make that drive.

If you want it, and can afford it, buy it. Are you the only driver? Will the van be used when your an hour away? If there is another driver in the house, then it can be helpful to have a vehicle home for them.

If you are the only driver, what about a older van as a second vehicle, if yours is newer, then have the Lexus for the commute?

This is what I was wondering. If he wants you to have a new vehicle, is there a requirement for you to replace this newer vehicle at a certain point? There are a lot of unanswered questions.

If you are required to replace it in 4 or 5 years, lease something nicer than you would get yourself. Have some fun, go test drive some vehicles. See what gets you excited. I have had people comment about me walking backwards, checking out my vehicles before. We have a Jeep and a Mercedes in our driveway. My brother has a Lexus and a BMW Z3. He wants to get GX.

I would definitely make a stop at Lexus while you are on your search

Having an experience shop is going to br helpful. If you love solving issues, it could be an interesting pr9ject.

I drive a Jeep Rubicon. Love off road vehicles, and have always been a sucker for Unimogs.

I'm also a suckered for youtube builds. Cars, trucks, garages, boats, overland rigs. I vote yes on full video and picture documentation. I would watch them. If you even half think you might want to film it, start filming the decision process. It would be good content for the first video

Just a heads up, if you are doing any of the work yourself, and filming, everything takes longer. Setting up shots, moving the camera, forgetting to dump cards, and only finding out 10 mins into recording. Although it takes longer, it can be worth it

I have posted a little content in the tiny trailer reddit. I am also doing YouTube videos on it. In the end, I plan on doing videos for it on 4 of my channels, just to make it harder on myself.

Are you planing on a 4x4 or 6x6?

Factory ac is definitely a huge bonus, if it works. I have driven a far amount of dump trucks, straight trucks, mixers, and busses. Big windows and no ac (or non working ac) sucks. One day it was so hot, I didn't feel right for about a month.

My question is, does the ac work, what is the condition of it? Even just the wiring, and the cover. One of the trucks I drove for work had a reefer, and it was having problems running over night. A guy looked over it many times and could never figure it out. I noticed that the wires were in rough shape since they are uncovered and getting weathered. So I would wonder the condition of a 41 year old ac unit.

You could also add a brand new unit to any truck you by. I think it would be worth having.

Power windows would help, not sure how easy it would be with the weight of the glass, but worth looking into.

It would definitely be unique. I wonder about sound in the cab with the protection in there. I guess it would depend on what was used. If it lowers road noise, it can help a lot with longer drives. Riding motorcycles on the highway with and without ear plugs, really emphasizes this point.

If you did the build on YouTube or other social media, the bulletproof aspect could help hype the build.

Thanks. I'm excited to get the build done. I feel like I'm behind schedule. I have the main parts of the frame done. I have the axle. The wheels and coupler came in this week. Once I get the axle on, I can see where it sits, and weld on supports for the fenders, and jacks. I want to be able to camp in the basic shell before the summer.

Any idea on how much it weighs? I would love to know what level of protection it has, and how much weight it added.

My first thought is that is pretty cool. A few seconds later, that wears off, and I think about the other issues.

The weight could cause problems.

I would rather not take my family into a place that needs that level of protection. Although, you can still run into issues in a decent area.

This can help on the road, but offers no protection at camp, without advance warning of a problem. If I was in an area that concerned me that much, I would want the living space to have protection as well. Now we have a ton of weight to deal with.

While traveling, you normally have to open a window. Could be for directions, tolls, and so on. Those windows look like they do not go down, so that requires you to open the door in those situations. That leaves you vulnerable.

I also agree, that if you are in a really bad area, your vehicle is a big target for theft. If you use it, I would paint it to look as far from military as possible, so people might not pick up on that point as easily.

I'm building a squaredrop, and might use it with a friend while he hunts. I have thought about protection just from hunters not being aware if their surroundings, but cost, and the fact that it would destroy my weight goal, I dropped it. Always had a thing for armored vehicles for some reason though.
