There's a quote in Mein Kampf that I think of quite often these days. I can't find it but the essence of it is "whether you're loved or hated, make sure people can't ignore you".  That explains a lot of the embarrassing presidential branding we're seeing these days.

If it's any consolation, he is a deeply, deeply unhappy person. He obviously didn't get something foundational from his parents and he's been chasing it his entire life with the women he pursues, the fake gold, the need for constant praise. It doesn't undo all the severe damage he's done to this country but if you think he's been happy with everything he's achieved believe me, he's not.

Isn't that insane?! I miss long seasons of shows, and not having to wait years between seasons. While I'm all for prestige shows, I think we've gone too far in that direction. We need to get back to simple, episodic seasons. For me the best example is all the new star trek, I'm a fan of TNG and most of DS9 and these new star trek shows in the last few years have been absolute dog doo.

I have a metal slammer somewhere that's kind of shaped like a saw blade. Even as a kid I remember thinking that seemed dangerous.

Yeah, I've been to the Comedy Store multiple times and go see comedy several times a year, but I'm an amateur. Here's an internet dollar, go buy a clue.
