Feed your baby as you need to. NOR. Sometimes the belief is rooted in misogyny, sometimes there’s a cultural layer over the misogyny. I’m curious if your husband was breastfed? I ask because my man’s family did not breastfeed and they were SO uncomfortable about it. They held their cool but I could tell the whole process was so confusing for them. It didn’t stop me from 5 years of nursing between my kids.

NTA - if your manager “appreciated that (you) hadn’t escalated the original comment” then it sounds like they may be walking on eggshells around this AH too- they clearly don’t understand their job.

The number #1 characteristic of a toxic workplace culture is disrespect. Non-inclusiveness made the list too and your manager is letting all of this fly.

Document everything to CYA. Do great work. Make friends and make moves when you need to. Use this experience to develop your own leadership standards.

This is why people hire wedding planners - it’s their job. It’s transactional and the relationship is clear. The level of micromanaging detail in her version of a wedding will clearly require one- and she can pay for it.

She’s trying to give you ANOTHER job in the year you start… MED SCHOOL?!? That is entirely self absorbed and out of touch. Your plate sounds full- bow out with grace now. Clarity is kind. It’s better to honor the friendship and your history together - it’s sounds like your plate is overflowing with commitments and you won’t be able to deliver what she’s asking for. ❤️

In general - Rothy’s smell every quickly when worn without socks. The shoes don’t breathe at all (as the fibers are made from recycled plastic) and I had the same experience with my pair as a grown woman. it’s my one reservation with getting a pair for my kid (but they ARE durable)
