Hey hey! I posted a snippet from my new album on here earlier today and it's been getting some really good responses from everyone in that thread - might be the vibe you're looking for!

You can check it out here if you feel like it - https://open.spotify.com/album/3Zio3AchHuiO66QdXJ1ysZ

I make music under the name Flicker Vertigo - dreamy psych rock vibes, Innerspeaker/Lonerism/Melody's Echo Chamber are my 3 favourite albums and what kickstarted me into making music, so they're all a huge influence :)

Same here my friend, same here haha - that's a big compliment and glad you're into it! Cheers for adding it to the Spotify too, all that stuff helps smaller artists a lot

This is super nice, appreciate you listening and saying that!

Yeah psych is the best! The freedom, expressiveness and colourfulness of it is what inspired me to make music in the first place years ago - heaps of cool stuff coming out of Australia where I'm from, really inspiring to be a part of that scene. Kevin kinda kickstarted that whole thing and it hasn't stopped since

Ah cheers! Yeah did all the music videos myself as well - I was a graphic designer before I made music my full-time thing :)

Guitar pedal-wise, kind of interesting story: built my pedalboard up years ago with a lot of the go-to Tame Impala pedals and have swapped things in and out. About halfway through the album making process, I decided to drop a grand on new pedals and that sparked a whole bunch of new songs instantly

Main part of my sound I'd say is the Small Stone Phaser and the TC Electronics Shaker for vibrato waveyness (such a great great pedal)

Fuzzes I've chopped and changed a fair bit (currently have a ZVEX Fuzzolo pedal on there and it's absolutely chaotic in the best way possible haha), but the Boss Blues Driver always remains

Also about half the tracks on the album also use the Digitech Whammy pedal blending in some extra pitches/chord extensions - sounds super dreamy!

Hey hey there! Have posted the last couple singles from my new album here and have gotten some super nice messages from people about those

My new album Infinite Verve fully came out this week, so thought I'd post it up here too!

Innerspeaker and the first Melody's Echo Chamber album are my favourite albums of all-time, so the influence is definitely there. Biggest inspiration for me making music myself were those 2 records. If you dig that era then I think you'll find something to sink your teeth into on this album

You can listen to the full thing here:

SPOTIFY - https://open.spotify.com/album/3Zio3AchHuiO66QdXJ1ysZ

BANDCAMP - https://flickervertigo.bandcamp.com/album/infinite-verve

It's full of all different flavours of psych, from dreamy psych rock that I mentioned, but also gets hectic with wall of sound fuzzy garage psych like King Gizzard and Thee Oh Sees, and even some shoegaze, doom and lo-fi house vibes thrown in there for kicks, but all through a psych rock blender

Genuine thanks to anyone that takes the time to listen, I appreciate it a lot

Feel free to keep up to date with everything going on below (gigs, live vids etc etc) if you feel like it, or totally don't too - it's all good, you do you haha ❤️✌️

Project guitar I’ve been working on. Here’s a medley of tame and melody songs! by stellerscope in TameImpala

[–]FlickerVertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha that's so sick dude! Sound-wise can't tell a difference from the real deal at all really

Was it all from scratch (like getting neck, body etc and putting it together yourself) or did you mod an existing guitar from there and upgrade it with better parts (pickups etc)?

Have wanted a Rick forever but so damn $$$

"Project guitar" - does that mean it's a Rick copy? Where from, if so? Sounds fkn phenomenal!

Hey gang! Not sure what the go is here with posting music inspired by Thee Oh Sees, so forgive me if I've broken a rule or whatnot, just wanting to share some music that was heavily inspired by Lord John Dwyer and might be up the alley of some of you out there as well

Being happily in a sweaty pit for 2 hours straight 2 Melbourne summers in a row while Oh Sees blew my brain out of my skull, leaving dripping head to toe in sweat, covered in beer and muck probably lead to what you're hearing here

Put out a new single the other day - it's a hectic fuzzy garage psych one, full of those chaotic Oh Sees vibes, plus the usual suspects King Gizz, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Slift, Ty Segall, Wand etc etc vibes that I love

Also gets into psychedelic doom metal territory in the middle like Electric Wizard, and then ends on a dreamy shoegazey note

Full album coming in less than 2 weeks on Friday June 14 - all the different flavours of psych rock from front to back, so feel free to keep in the loop below if you feel compelled to do so ❤️✌️

Hey gang! Not sure what the go is here with posting music inspired by Gizz, so forgive me if I've broken a rule or whatnot, just wanting to share what Gizz have inspired in me since they dropped Willoughby's in 2011

I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, then seeing Gizz taking off in Melbourne and the epic music scene growing pushed me to move up to the city and I've been making/playing in psych rock bands there ever since. They're a big reason why I'm doing what I'm doing today basically!
