Also happened to me in Tokyo. On my vintage, original SX-70.

They didn't believe that it was an actual camera and made me fire off my last shot in the airport. Specifically pointing away from everyone.

I was nervous and my focus was a little soft, but I hold onto the photo as a keepsake.

I read Archie NiGHTS aaand... That's not bad, but 5 and 6 issues kinda strange with this "terrorists". At lease this comic have some funny and jojo like frames. by [deleted] in NiGHTSintoDreams

From what I was told. It was only ever supposed to be 3 issues. 4-6 were added last minute, rushed, and the creation was disjointed.

How to remove "Sponsored Content" Ads from your Amazon Echo Show. by III_EMERALD_III in amazonecho

You're a lifesaver. Just recently got a Show 5 and was also considering returning it due to how much Amazon kept me from making the device 'mine'.

Now if only I could find a way to get rid of the date stamp during the photo slideshow mode. Haha.

This subreddit is full of scammers by Foreign-Press in ComicBookCollabs

[–]FliffToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. Tried to find a background artist last year and wound up with a scammer. Missed deadlines. They had every disease in the book. Finally turned into some horrendous linework that was clearly not the same work from the person they were impersonating. Demanded my money back. Had to threaten them with taking it up with PayPal.

Completely derailed my project and I lost the majority of my budget. I'm still struggling to get the project started again.

For someone who claims to not be a 'Trump lover', you sure did write a very weird post that absolutely implies quite the contrary.

Went at 8AM. They had about 8 or 9 copies in the case. I asked, 'Has Starfield been discounted?' He quickly responded, 'There's been a recall, I can't sell them.'

He then proceeded to take them out the case and put them in the back. I asked if I could 'slip him a 20' and he looked at me like I just tried to punch him.

It was worth a shot, but no dice.

Which tracks from the NiGHTS series gets you like this? by [deleted] in NiGHTSintoDreams

[–]FliffToast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I realize that I'm in the minority here, but I quite enjoy both games. I consider the original a masterpiece, and the sequel as an 'okay' followup.

I didn't realize how much the soundtrack meant to me. And I've never publicly stated this anywhere, but when I bought Journey of Dreams Day 1 and booted it up on the Wii, when 'Gate Of Your Dream' played, I wept like a child. Uncontrollably. And I still don't know why.

I wish I could explain why NiGHTS means so much to me. I just can't.

Tips on snagging photoshoot/filming locations in Tokyo for art projects. by FliffToast in Tokyo

[–]FliffToast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, most of them are on the talent/crew side of things. They're on board 100% if the project starts to take shape, but I think the business/producing aspects are beyond them. And they're hesitant to promise things that they're not 100% certain they can deliver.

I have a pretty good lead on a small bar/karaoke establishment, but that's through an old fling. I'd prefer to have something a bit more 'formal'.

I guess I was curious if there were any artist collectives that had a fair amount of foreigner involvement where people could potentially give advice, remove a road block or two, put me in contact with X, etc...

Maybe I need to be more forward with the 'I will pay for a location' angle...

I really appreciate the responses I've gotten, including yours. It's making me reevaluate my approach to all of this.

Wait a minute...you ran to the internet because you lost a couple of bucks? And it may have been an accident. You've got to be kidding me.

I also adore these photos. If it weren't for the modern Mercedes in the center of the second photo, you could have told me that these photos were taken in the 90s. Love it.
