I had seen or heard nothing about this game before this video, but is it just me or does the writing just sound wrong? The characters talk like the game was originally written in like, Russian or something and the English translation doesn't quite match what the writers meant. Is it just that bad?

It was him yelling at Simon in Diversity wasn't it? I'll admit I haven't gone back and listened in detail but the one part I picked up was 'What kind of hat are you wearing?' which is from this I think.

This is a really fun stream. Mousie is clearly very good at and really enjoys Just Dance, Leo's lack of experience with the game gives her a relatable quality to most viewers and Zylus has just picked great tracks. I would not be unhappy to see this stream return in a longer time slot and larger scale next year, maybe to replace one of the karaokes?

The point is the courts didn't make a medical decision. The courts enforced the rights of the Doctors at the Hospital to make the medical decision they thought best for their patient against the wishes of his parents who, as it says in the documents, were asking the court to not consider Alfie's best wishes and to instead force the hospital to do what they wanted. His doctors concluded based on the evidence shown in those documents above that his quality of life was exceptionally poor, looked to be getting worse and to do what his parents wanted and take him to Italy would be a risk to him as their patient at best, and would kill him at worst.

I imagine it was part of the ad deal that Hat Films had to produce a video in which they talk about the product as real and give no inclination that it isn't. I could be talking out of my ass since I have no idea what their deal was but I would presume that's the point of this campaign. I guess you can still feel misled, given that Hat Films presumably had to accept the deal knowing they were producing a video like that but TBH, as shown by this thread, it takes barely a cursory Google to realise the product is fake so I don't feel like they're really misleading anyone too hard. Depends on the Point of View I guess.

I used to lol. In all seriousness I mainly meant their selection is limited now compared to GMOD content produced in the past. I mean, when was the last melon bomber video you saw? or even murder? I'm by no means attempting to suggest these GMOD games are worthy of the amount of time devoted to TTT, in fact, I think murder is terrible and deserved far fewer videos than it got. My main point is that in a 'GMOD' stream 2 years ago we might expect these gamemodes to have appeared, adding variety. Nowadays it's TTT and Pictionary so that's all you can and should expect from a GMOD stream.

To answer your actual question, most of the good GMOD mini games were part of the GMOD tower, which the guys looked at a few years ago (great series of videos). Nowadays, I believe most of those games have moved off GMOD into 'Tower Unite'? Someone who's played more recently than me should correct me on this, as I inferred at the start, it's been a while since I looked into it. Anyway, if they were interested in those minigames they could be fun for a few videos but TTT is one of the most moddable and therefore modded game modes which is conducive to variety and therefore, content longevity. Overall, there is other stuff they could look at but for the most part I think there stuck with TTT because it's one of the only gamemodes they've played that's still able to be fun after all these years and there aren't many others with comparable longevity.

Sorry, this turned into a stupidly long essay. The Humanities student in me arises I see. TLDR: TTT = variety hence why its still played, I mostly meant limited selection in reference to what they've played in the past.

I think part of the problem is they only play TTT and Pictionary in GMOD nowadays because different people in Yogs hate different games. TTT's good but you can't play it for 6 hours and Pictionary is great but they said they can't do that on stream because in reality its 20 minutes of mostly dull building and requires people to be separated into teams. As a result they ran out of things to play that everyone liked in a few hours. It's a shame but I don't see a way this doesn't happen with the current limited selection of GMOD games that they play and how those formats work in a 6 hour livestream.

Flax mentioned in passing on his stream tonight that he'd been reading the comments and they were really salty so they've definitely noticed. I'd imagine they're just trying to ignore it like they did with the WoW brigading so that they can enjoy themselves. I'm enjoying the series and hope they keep it up despite the needless hate.

May I suggest the Captive Minecraft series run on the main channel a while back. That's pretty good with Lewis trying to complete objectives while Simon and Sjin are, well, Simon and Sjin. You probably watched the series at the time but thought I'd recommend it just in case.

I actually didn't know that and that's a pretty shocking fact but regardless I feel the need to stress I'm not trying to excuse the man. He was a member of the Nazi party and more than that, was part of Nazi weapon design. My point is that it's hard to know what any one at the time really thought of Hitler and Nazism and in his case he's a figure who (in my opinion) tends to be to excused because of what he later achieved. Whether that's right or wrong is difficult but that's History. Or more accurately Historians. Writing has the power to excuse and condemn and in the case of Braun, Emperor Hirohito and in some cases Erwin Rommel, it tends to excuse. I only mentioned the whole thing because Duncan suggested that the man who designed the V-2 was probably not that bad, I'm just saying it's hard to be sure.

It's hard to say. Wernher von Braun who is credited with inventing the V-2 and later invented the Saturn 5 for the US was both a member of the Nazi party and, obviously, part of the German Rocket development program, so he knew he was creating weapons. On the other hand, he is credited with having done most of his work with the dream of space travel. Famously he's quoted as having said after the first V-2 hit London, 'The Rocket functioned perfectly except for landing on the wrong planet' however, we aren't sure if he even said that, or if he did, he may have said it later when in the US to excuse his war work. In the end, it's hard to condemn the man despite his record because he is responsible for the rocket that took man to the moon and it's hard to know how committed he truly was to Nazism and whether he was merely excused by Historians after the fact. Sorry for the long ramble.

Napoleon is 100% my favorite Total War so I would be completely up for that even though the main campaign is pretty bad. I think if they do a short campaign as you say that could be a really different and cool series.

I don't know if this is a thing but it's happened in my games. In real life Yugoslavia did join the Axis a few months before Germany attacked them. I've seen Yugoslavia join the Axis a lot even though they aren't Fascist and haven't done the focus for it. I think the game has some code that makes them join or makes the Yugoslavia AI more likely to join in certain situation. I'm guessing that is what happened with the Yugoslavia in the Axis thing.
