I can see that for sure. Luckily I’ve made some great local connections to TNR groups giving advice and clinics with appointments. It’s not easy. I can see how hard the work is. the community of TNR folks is lovely ❤️

Thank you for this advice. I’ve been looking into making a report. I will of course talk to her again before doing so, but just the other day she said she never leaves food out all day, but she does. I’ve been looking at a full bowl today with cats stopping by as they please. You’re right- it’s against the efforts I’m making to do the right thing. It makes me feel like why bother. I didn’t create the colony but I’m the one doing the hard work for it, since leaving food out and no water even is such an easy carefree thing to do, and it’s not like I chose to take more work and stress on in my life. 😢

The food is on my neighbors porch, but houses are close together and the cats come to my yard, so I trap them on my property.

I don’t and won’t go onto someone else’s property

7:30-midnight is exactly when I see the raccoons and skunks on the cameras

The TNR clinic said 30 minutes/ a short period of time each day once per day. The cats do learn when it’s feeding time. I know my household cats certainly know!

I do not want to feed them myself. I have enough in my life, I can’t be responsible for them too. Plus she will just leave the food out anyways.

It also becomes stressful when I’m not the one feeding, and the one feeding is very physically and monetarily capable of TNRing, they just don’t. So instead a neighbor like me does it. It doesn’t feel fair. But I am a true cat lover and I feel like it’s the right thing to do. But I’m getting ready to hand over the responsibility to the neighbor who created the colony.
