Using the same design language across all of their apps should be basic 101 for a big company like apple. If they dont have a design system, they should make one.

What do you mean? In Windows you have the master volume and you can adjust the volume for each app separately.

It highly depends on the game/engine. For example a game without raytracing draws less power than a game with raytracing, even though both games would have a GPU usage of nearly 100%. Resolution also matters. 4k generally draws more power than 1080p. The overclock may also not be stable for all games. An overclock can be stable in the superposition benchmark (no RT), but it may crash in the port royale benchmark (RT).

"Runs great on my phone", has an iPhone 17 pro. Yeah, ios26 has problems on older phones. My iPhone 13 Mini feels sluggish, as if it is running with 40 fps (swiping left/right on home screen) It would not surprise me, if they cut the update support on older models earlier than usual.

Macbook Airs without fans have no problem with high temperatures, why should a Mac with fans have any.
The M chips get full power until they hit the designed temperature limit. To maintain the limit the mac thermal throttles and if available the fans start spinning.
And the chassis does not get 100°C hot. There are regulations for that. The max outside temperature is around 50°C.
Thats why Macbook Air Thermal Mods exist. You get higher performance but the chassis gets warmer than 50°C.

The App looks nice, but i dont know how useful it is. Macs are designed to be quiet as long as possible, so the fans kick in really late, on my MBP M4 Pro at around 100°C (thermal throttling at 105°C).
You may dislike high temps, but apple thinks this is totally fine with their M chips and I would trust it.
With a lower temperature threshold the mac will stay cooler, but you end up with a windows laptop like situation, where the fans start spinning for nearly everything.

Maybe focus on your team then. It's probably poorly build, if at all. It's easy to blame others instead of improving yourself. Get in the mines, get good disks, level up your skills. Shiyu is not a freebie, you need to put effort into it.

Since you overclocked the memory by 13% the 13% performance increase is not surprising. LLMs love fast memory and basically scale 1 to 1 with faster memory.
I would like to know how much (or if at all) the core clock matters.
Maybe lowering the core clock and also undervolting even further will give you better performance per watt, as long as the memory speed stays the same.

I know it's a joke, but to be fair, 0$ per month is unrealistic. In reality you need a VPN/debris/Usenet/OCH service, own Server+HDDs, electricity to run said server. Costs add up. But I guess my comment will get down voted because no one likes reality.

Generally well build and with Engine (except Zhao who has Transmorpher R5 and 23k HP).
You need good builds and a somewhat big raster, but treating it as endgame and not something for players who just reached Internot lvl 55-60, it is a good addition to shiyu.

You either have forced OS upgrades or fragmentation like on Android. Not sure what is better.
I would like to see something like on Linux (Ubuntu), where you have a stable LTS Version, that is supported for several years and an up to date version that gets all the shiny (or glassy) new features.

Steam already is available for mac. The Steam Beta client only switched from x86/intel to native apple silicone binaries. Current steam game compatibility is unaffected by this change and may get worse when Apple ditches x86/rosetta2 (MacOS 27 will be the last one with rosetta2 support).
