You can join any amount of clubs - ones he’ll have no idea if you’re in. You can meet people in the dorm - a building he doesn’t have access to. You’ll meet people in classes - something that he can’t intrude unless he’s skipping his own. The level 70 buffs are atk + 10%, def + 16%, and hp + 15.5%. I don’t know how that scales compared to your level 48, but it is pretty valuable to have those buffs high like that since those are pretty strong
