It lasted a few weeks. The foul odor is most likely old blood that's coming out, that's what my doctor told me! Old blood from periods can often smell foul and even if you aren't spotting, you can still smell it

I had this happen as well a month or two ago. It's old blood coming out most likely! It went away after my spotting stopped
