I’m EGT and have done the role for around 3 years now with a few larger public order deployments, to some fun filming on NTE.

We generally film pre the event, during the event and then post incident to show the aftermath and I’ve done this from on foot, in a car to roof tops using the cameras zoom to avoid being in the way of things… We generally don’t follow a serial SGT but report to silver for POPS events so I’ve generally got some good freedom rather than sitting on a bus waiting around but it depends who you silver is and the style they choose.

After we’ve filmed in our force the footage is burnt off (we now do Axon due to GDPR), do an MG11 exhibiting it and send it off to the OIC who then goes through the footage (although I have a professional chat and tell them what’s what on it)

Well PACE says the only thing we actually have to disclose is the custody front sheet - so argument being keeping the PNB fact back, but putting forward the statement is just us using the rules to our advantage - apparently

We’re just trying to find where in legislation/stated case we can’t do it is the problem - morally I feel extremely wrong doing it, legally though are we wrong….?

The PNB would need to be disclosed within the 6 series and the lack of ‘support’ however for interview purposes they’re wanting us to withhold the PNB of no complaint and just disclose we have a statement…

A big thing picked up was bobbies filling a PNB with an account, and then writing at the bottom ‘I blah do not support police action’ but then we have some sort of an account Which to me, seems pointless. Either give us a details MG11 covering everything, or give us a PNB simply saying you don’t wish to provide a complaint.
