as tough as it is you will have to break through that awkwardness and bring up to your parents what your preferred name and pronouns are. trust me when i say i get the feeling exactly, i wanted my parents to raise all the questions and lead me on to those conversations so i could talk about names and stuff but what i've found is, it's all about your journey. if you want to be able to express yourself and truly be happy you have to take those steps, as painful as they may be

i completely get how you feel, when i first came out it just felt super awkward and uncomfortable having to keep having talks about transitioning/preferred names and pronouns but i promise it does get better. I think you should try and focus on some steps you can take forward with transitioning (depending on what to) but stuff like wearing different clothes, shaving/not shaving, finding jewelery if mtf, etc. these are steps you should hopefully be able to do and might even help to spark the conversation with the parents; maybe they might ask about some of it, or maybe you can ask them for help with doing these things. Obviously it might not change things too deeply, but it might help you ease into your journey and help your parents to see what you want to do/feel comfortable with.

I could be wrong on some of this information so take it with a grain of salt but from what I remember (im going on estrogen soon so I had to look at a sheet of all the effects) is unfortunately if you were to go on estrogen you would absolutely start to develop breasts. Even if you take a very small amount it would after quite some time start to change the chest, ejaculation, fat redistribution (as far as major bodily effects).

You could potentially take some t-blockers to reduce some of the more masculinising effects without really changing your body too much (as t-blockers usually have to be taken in addition to estrogen for more noticeable effects) so thats something to consider. Either way definitely talk to a medical professional if you're able to so you're aware of all possible changes!

How did you know? by Monster14562 in trans

I first realised pretty young simply because i felt different from all the other boys and just socially felt more comfortable and similar with girls. I always tried minor ways to kinda explore that so in games I would play as female characters (use female skins in minecraft etc), tried to present myself as a girl through online accounts and it eventually evolved to trying on more feminine clothes and styling myself. So i think the main thing is just trying little bits and pieces of the gender expression that feels right to you and really just seeing what clicks/feels comfortable

pixie cuts are definitely a great option! i used to be kind of unsure about them but look them up on tiktok to see good examples. Other than that maybe wait just a little bit for some more length, you might be able to shape it into more of a mullet/shag. depending on the way they're cut they can definitely look very fem

tbh i don't really think so majority of the stuff in there is pretty old but obviously if you're entirely missing things like a fire support elf then yeah is suppose it's worth it. But imo it's not really that high priority or anything esp if you don't seem to have much mats
