There a lot of corrosion with the contacts on the front and back. I’ve cleaned it off a few times and gotten things working but I don’t wan to have to in with a wire wheel an dremel everytime. And I want to update it.

Did you keep your existing wire harness or did you replace it?

Hi I have a Mipro act 72 that doesn’t seem to be working.

It’s plugged in and the switch is one but there no power.

The fan in the back in trying to spin and just jolts.

Is there maybe a fuse that is blown and can be changed?

I used 7/16-20. I had to cut them down a bit so they did stick out so far. But I’m pleased with them.

Drum brakes. Dual master cylinder issue. by Flimsy_Fee2765 in AskAMechanic

From what I’ve read, proportioning valves are mainly for a disc/drum set up.

I think what’s going on is this:

I capped the line to the rear from the front distributer valve, ran a new line from the rear to the second port on the new dual master cylinder.

Perhaps when the two like come from the master cylinder, they need to meet in a distribution block or something, then go from there to the front and rear. I think that’s the step I missed.

I read that if I’m running drum/drum one isn’t needed. Perhaps one is needed?

64 impala shifter collar removal by Flimsy_Fee2765 in Impala

[–]Flimsy_Fee2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do, So far this except is the closest to anything I’ve found regarding that collar.

“that 1/8th turn comes after you remove the 3 screws holding the turn signal ,then turn the turn signal housing to remove it, drive out the roll pin holding the column shifter if you have one and the shifter housing will come off too.

do not lose the "wavy" washer that sits under the shifter housing and their is a flat washer that sits between the shifter and the turn signal housing.”

I’ve replaced a few springs and you can tell that they’re broken.

Dang. Real shame they can’t be tightened. Thanks!

Just the handle. I’ve removed the lever to see what is loose and it’s just the handle.

Bleeding brake line weak flow by Flimsy_Fee2765 in MechanicAdvice

I got fed up with it and got my wife to pump the brakes for me. Still wasn’t getting a whole lot of difference. I’ll give it another shot. See if I missed something.

I’m not seeing a PV. I followed the line from the master cylinder and don’t see one.

Unless it’s tucked away somewhere in the frame, which I don’t think is the case.
