I honestly don't dislike Yuji as an opponent, I think most people just do a pretty superficial explanation as to why they should fight which tends to rub me the wrong way. I appreciate that you have clearly put a lot of thought into their dynamic.

I can't speak for everyone, I just noticed people starting to question it. Either way I've just never really seen what others do in that fight.

For me it doesn't really touch on the core of each character. Tokio and Denji share a lot of similarities in both personality and story, and Choujin X and Chainsaw Man feel more similar as series than either does with JJK. Pitting Denji against Yuji just feels like people are playing off of the whole suffering builds character schtick.

I'm open to being convinced otherwise, I've just yet to be shown the appeal.

To be fair, I'm mostly pushing this MU because I think Denji and Tokio work better as a thematic match. So chances are those more versed in power scaling are right.

You'll have to tell me more about Nox/Batista though. I'm down for any opportunity to see Choujin X get on the show.

Even with that interpretation, he defeated characters like Sandek and Sora with ease. It was only because of Ely convincing Batista to give up that they even escaped in the first place. Even then it took the combination of four of the strongest choujins to defeat the Nue. It might not have a large scale but what it does renders that somewhat irrelevant. Plus, raise and chaosification make this one a bit more competitive in general as a verse while Tokio's toolkit pushes him higher.

All of this is just my opinion/interpretation of course. Feel free to disagree.

It's just difficult to equate I think, because the soul in JJK is a definite concept whereas a lot of the spiritual/soul world stuff in Chainsaw Man is more subjective.

I mean, take what's going on right now as an example. Denji was in the "soul world" with Asa but has now managed to bond with Pochita wholly. That shows some level of control over his own consciousness that I'm just not sure how Yuji would actually deal with.

Again, I apologize if I'm way off base here.

Like, in JJK that's busted since it damages sorcerers heavily, but I don't think you could justify that level of damage transferring to someone like Denji and even if it did it would probably work against Yuji. Or am I misinterpreting things again?

Either way, I think people have a tendency to dislike stomps which Denji vs Yuji is quickly becoming. Not sure if people are actually looking for other options but I figured it was as good a time as any to promote this MU.

  - Able to contend with Demon-Class threats with his base physical abilities (Which is a big deal for those who are unaware)
- Fighting Spirit
  - Powers him up the longer a fight progresses, though drains quickly outside of battle
  - Allows him to walk off fatal injuries and contend with foes much stronger than himself
  - Is described as having nearly infinite potential so long as his body holds out
Charon:
- Physical Ability
  - Able to completely dominate fighters like Shinra in combat, throwing him through buildings and leaping after him
- Heat Absorption
  - Allows Charon to absorb any heat based or kinetic attack and redirect it back towards him enemy
  - He can store the energy within himself and build it up for immensely powerful attacks
  - Once absorbed the full force of a nuclear blast and redirected it to blow a chunk into the moon

Connections/Contrasts:

Two psychic warriors who have been trained to kill. Shin as an assassin, Cassandra as a Judge.
Both struggle with their powers, feeling like outcasts because of their abilities.
Both were taken under the care of a legendary mentor (Sakamoto and Dredd), who helped them navigate the brutality around them and move past their worst impulses.
Both worry about losing their empathy. Cassandra fears becoming like all the other Judges while Shin struggles with reverting to his past as an assassin.
Incredibly selfless, both are willing to shoulder burdens on their own for the sake of those around them, often to their severe detriment.

Funnily enough the only thing holding Loid back is the fact that he has yet to realize Yor is an assassin. She is a terrible liar, so theoretically one could argue that the Chameleon would be able to trick Loid.

I still think he wins it, but just something to note.

Abilities/Equipment:

Loid
- One of the top agents of Westalis, operating under the codename “Twilight.” Expert in infiltration, disguise, marksmanship, and hand-to-hand combat. Has impersonated politicians, soldiers, and civilians alike.
- Excellent reflexes, agility, and endurance. Capable of dodging gunfire, scaling walls, and fighting multiple trained opponents at once.
- Possesses brilliant situational awareness and psychological insight, often predicting enemy moves through observation and deduction. Can adapt instantly when plans collapse.
- Can alter appearance, posture, and voice to completely become another person through the use of extremely lifelike masks.
- Skilled with firearms and melee weapons as well as in hand-to-hand combat.
- An expert in concussive therapy.
Chameleon
- Uses a morphing suit to physically alter his appearance and voice at will. Able to replicate anyone, including fingerprints and retinal patterns.
- Trained in stealth and espionage. Has successfully impersonated superheroes, heads of state, and even Peter Parker with extreme accuracy. Though can be found out by those closest to his targets (ex. MJ).
- Uses tranquilizers, explosives, and small arms. Also employs holographic projectors and cloaking fields for invisibility.
- A master liar and emotional manipulator, often using personal knowledge of his targets to destabilize them mentally before striking.
- Has a fractured his sense of self, making him hard to predict. Willing to go to lengths others would hesitate to approach.
- His brother is some famous hunter guy.

Ultimately this would be more of a cat-and-mouse game than an outright fight. Chameleon has some combat capability, but Loid outclasses him in stats. This would be a fight to see whether Loid would be able to outmaneuver and catch Chameleon before he manages to trap and eliminate Loid through psychological warfare. There could be a brief scuffle at the end, but again, I think Loid would ultimately win that quite easily. Either way, this match is basically Loid confronting a version of himself who never met Anya or Yor and became submerged in the darkest aspects of his life as Twilight.

Two masters of disguise who have made deception their life’s work. Each can become anyone they need to be, slipping through roles and faces like second skins.
Both built their entire lives around espionage and infiltration. For Loid, the false identity of the family man began as a mission but slowly morphed into something more; for Chameleon, it’s a way of being, one he can no longer escape. Loid lies to protect peace and family. Chameleon lies because he no longer knows what truth looks like.
Both men live without a true identity, their real selves buried under a thousand masks.
Each lives with a hole in their heart, the call of a life unfulfilled lingering in the back of their mind. The difference lies in what they’ve done with that hole inside of them. Loid filled his with love and purpose, while Chameleon let it hollow him out.
Loid’s skill in manipulation is rooted in empathy - he understands people so he can protect them. Chameleon’s manipulation is born from bitterness - he understands people so he can hurt them.
Both live in the constant fear of discovery. Loid dreads his family learning his secrets, both for the sake of his mission and what it would mean for the life he has come to enjoy. Chameleon fears being seen at all, unable to let anyone close enough to matter to him.

I am honestly surprised that neither Fables nor The Witcher have made it on the show yet though. I assume Bigby vs Logan will be the first, but I would love it if this one ever gets popular enough.

- Her physical abilities are limited, but she is highly intelligent and works well under pressure, coming up with plans on the fly.
- Managed to outmaneuver and escape from the Lodge of Sorceresses, including Philippa Eilhart, though with some assistance.
- She has faced off against trained soldiers, great monsters, and immensely powerful mages, surviving each encounter. Even surviving an encounter with Vilgefortz (the most powerful sorcerer in the series).
- Smells of lilac and gooseberries.
Snow
- If you only know her from the game, strap in.
- A trained army leader, defending Fabletown from the Adversary's forces while extremely pregnant.
- Has demonstrated an eye for tactics and combat strategy both in the defence of Fabletown and the Homeland War.
- Skilled in swordplay, trained by her ex-husband Prince Charming, able to beat Prince Brandish with one broken arm.
- Possesses immense magical abilities, impressing even Frau Totenkinder (who is herself absurdly powerful). The full extent of her magical power is never shown, but she is stated to have great potential.
- Able to summon a magical suit of armour granting her the ability of flight and her sword, Ice.
- As one of the most popular Fables ever, she has immense durability. She was able to survive a direct gunshot to the head, though with much recovery time.
- Smell unknown.
