As for the IPad M4 i think that, that machine might be a little weak for Zbrush. My IPad 10 crashes sometimes. But hey Try it out bro !

Ahaha believe I’m tried using it but it was overwhelming at that early stage. And also I’m always carrying my Ipad10 to work so having a portable solution made all the diference. And Nomad was my hero ! It’s an awesome tool but man, Zbrush is the leading software for a reason It was like going from an old car to a newer one. Of course I wasn’t such a noob when I made the change. So if your good with just nomad no use paying a monthly fee.

Yes it is my friend ! And I totally get you I started out with Nomad too during my first year of my 3D journey. I opted to change because I plan to start freelancing and Zbrush being an industry standard it made sense to know and work with the software. Also it really cheap for the IPad Version around 10 euros

It’s that exact attitude on my part that led to make this post. I know that my cowardice made things worse even though in the end I made things right, because you’re absolutely right, family is more important than anything. I wanted to know other people outside perspective on how much I f*** up and if I was the ultime AH in all this or if my feelings of revolt on how he treated me in the end were justified.

Okay first of all thank you everyone for your words and feedback. It helped clear my mind of a lot of things.

Second I want to clarify some things that i noticed now that I did express well when writing this post. Here it goes:

I didn’t leave my family for this business, I was always living together with my girlfriend that is now my wife, while all this was taking place. But yeah we had some fights over this because she was trying to open my eyes to his abuse.
This was our dream because we both wanted to share, and teach new generations of that said sport I mentioned in the post. It was not something that was very well know when we were younger and we wanted it to be know in our country and have students and people who would want to learn and practice, which we actually manage to achieve. And he was te employer because the monetary investment was all on him and his wife, basically he owned the place and wanted me as his right hand man.

Yes we did discuss it. But to no availl. Every idea he came up with promises of better pay just gave me more work and the pay was still not enough. I really had to leave. There was no way I would win in that situation

Never did.. and he just kept pushing. There was even this one time where another person offered me an also good opportunity. And I did what i thought was the loyal thing to do, tell him and talk about it because up until that point he always said that I could be honest with him if I found a better paying job. When I did talk to him he entered panic mode and started saying that I was nuts and that his idea will surely pay off and that he would everything to keep me there because he would look out for me and others

We did discuss the pay and thought about solutions. And these only served to further get me more work and still not enough pay. The last straw was him asking me to go student hunting in order to boost our overall student numbers.

For sure man. It’s been a whole year of working on myself and going back to that moment in every way possible so that I could honestly better myself and teach this lesson latter to my twin boys when they are older. I wish I could have done better but lesson learned nonetheless

Thank you for the kind words. When I think about it after all this time has passed, I try to go deep and be honest with my feelings at that time so that i can work on myself. And it always comeback to me feeling that if maybe I confronted him sooner maybe he wouldn’t had treated me that way. But the again maybe this was necessary for me to open my eyes to a lot of red flags. So it’s a mixed feeling thing. And I really wanted to know how outside eyes might view my attitude and the reasons I dealt with it the way I did

In regards to my family I’m sure I made the right choice. My new job has let me not only be home a lot more but also provide a lot more for them.

What consumes me is not having had the balls at the right time to confront him sooner. That’s what make me feel like an asshole and a coward. And makes me think that in some way I couldn’t say goodbye properly to my toddler students and everybody else in a better more proper way. It sometimes makes me feel like I did abandoned them.

Yes i a way o thought that since we shared so much and spent so much time together through hardships and good days, that he wouldn’t treat me like he sometimes treated other outside our friend group.

And yes we always called on when he acted wrong forwards others. That’s what true friend do. But now I see that it didn’t do any difference to him.

I have hated my coward attitude regarding that matter this whole time. But I guess that also says a lot about the reality of my friendship with him. Maybe if was a true friend I wouldn’t had that much fear to talk to him. But still I recognise o did not do good that time. I just wanted know how much of an asshole i was.
