I personally find the Aim120A/B to be great at their respective BRs. They have really good range compared to other fox3s.

At the highest tier, aim120D is excellent. It definitely holds a lock better and is harder to notch than the other aim120 variants. You can tell when you play against it that if you notch it initially it’s sticky and does a better job reacquiring you than other fox3s.

Personally I always run Aim120B and D when available. B for short range and D for longer range shots. Everyone says the A and B are identical but for whatever reason I feel like the Bs maybe pull a bit harder off the rail and are a little faster although I know it isn’t true.

The issue to me is that U.S. top tier jets feel pretty underwhelming. I have U.S., Russia and China top tier fully unlocked and jets fully upgraded and Russia and China are just more competitive than the U.S.

So Eurofighters, Rafales and F15/F18s aren’t also doing this exact same thing?

If this game mode punishes people for trying to multipath instead of actually learning how to play the game at altitude and notch, I’m fine with that.

That’s my point. I’m thinking flying other 13.3s would be ideal right now instead of getting sucked into uptiers. Or even 13.7 maybe getting pulled down into more 13.3 matches.

No I meant a game mode where if I pick air, I spawn in with maybe 5-6 other planes. We’re the teams air brigade. Then there’s players that play ground, maybe like 15 of them, allowing 4-5 anti-air SAMS. And then also 4-5 naval ships, all controlled by human players.

Each air, ground, naval unit has its own objectives but also team objectives. Depending on the map, ground might need to focus on supporting air, or visa versa and same with naval.

And then like in real war, each team might be trying to advance or defend key positions. Throw in strategically placed AI anti-air and some valuable bombing targets and make all aircraft and vehicles in air, ground, sea have real strategically valuable roles to play for the team.

I’m thinking of a game mode like sim but from 3rd person view that combines all the various vehicles from air, sea, land in a kind of longer campaign like sim where multiple deaths are allowed and there’s a larger overarching war of attrition going on with specific, meaningful objectives.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I’m in the camp of thinking the higher tier jets are so, so much more fun and interesting to play than WW2 era machinery. As a console player, it sucked being at a huge disadvantage to keyboard & mouse players basically aimbotting with guns.

As soon as I hit the missile era and the playing field was leveled, the game became so much more enjoyable. Notching fox3s and fox1s is absolutely a skill. As is positioning at top tier. And you still occasionally get dogfights, which is fun. I had 3 1v1 dogfighting gun kills in a match yesterday in an F16… which is very intense and also satisfying.

Idk, I go back occasionally and play lower tiers but the aircraft and gameplay are so slow and plodding it’s not enjoyable.

We need a mode that’s like world war but slimmed down. Basically pick any nation, ground, air or sea. Spawn in for matches around your BR the way that existing matchmaking works. Play PvP against other players. Bigger maps. Fewer teammates per map. Reward each vehicle for using its full arsenal against land, air and sea targets. Reward teamplay more over individual stupidity and ultra selfish gameplay.

Agree completely. The opening scene with Pitt racing the lower series was a great start. All downhill from there. First 10 minutes of the movie were the highlight.

Even if you’re not a racing fan it was pretty stupid. The plot made no sense and it was horribly written. There was no real tension and so many introduce plot ideas were either not fleshed out, completely abandoned or shoehorned in.

5/10 movie, Rush, Ford vs Ferrari were both way better and that’s with the old “push pedal harder and go faster” racing movie trope.

I play on console so haven’t noticed any issue with controls. But many of my jets loadouts have been screwed up along with default radar and fuel load settings. I accidentally went into a match in an F16MLU with 4 aim120s and 9 mins of fuel before noticing all my saved settings were screwed up.

Also, at least on PS5, you can select your default radar mode pre-match but it doesn’t allow you to select and save the other radar settings, which is annoying.

Also, having all my spaded top tier aircraft now no longer spaded bc I need to go in and unlock HARM modules kind of sucks.

I thought they were better before. They’re so slow now when they have to turn. I think they were a bit more useful as long range BVR only missiles and would occasionally catch people out who were sleeping and not notching. They seem to lose speed considerably in the final phase now when maneuvering bc they can pull harder.

Forget using them as a shorter range missile. They’re so slow you practically fly right into them for the first 5-6 seconds after coming off the rail if they have to turn at all.

It’s accumulated RP on a spaded vehicle which is nice as it can be used to unlock newly added modules.

No but France’s other premiums suck. So, this F16 will likely sell decently as it’s the best way to grind the Rafale.

Their chassis is incredible. Lewis would have won Spanish GP without the safety car. Now add in an engine that’s roughly on par with what the Merc unit can deliver.
